When we had our first son, he would not sleep through the night no matter what we tried. Lucky for us our pack n play had the mapper attachment which we used as a bassinet. The first night we place out son in the mapper with the vibrator on, he slept for 6 straight hours. It was the greatest relief for us after several weeks of sleepless nights. We wore out numerous batteries as he slept in the napper until he outgrew it.
We used the newborn napper in our room until our son was about 8 weeks old, then use the raised bassinet until we transitioned him to the crib in his room when he was 12 weeks old. It is compact and the wheel's made it very easy to pull next to the bed and put back against the wall during the day. We now use the playard to take with us when we travel and have found it very convenient! I purchased a graco quilted cover to go over the mat in the bottom, and I place a soft blanket in between the mat and the fitted crib sheet cover for a little added softness and so far he sleeps very well in it!
We got this playard for our living room for our little guy. I wasn't sure if we would need the newborn napper or changing table since we had one in our nursery and a swing but it proved invaluable. My son slept in the napper quite a bit when I wanted to be near him in the living room or kitchen. Now he is too big for it but we still use the changing table on it more than we do in his nursery since its so convenient. I would certainly recommend to any new parents to get these two features on a playard since it does not cost much more and can easily be removed.
There is no better pack and play brand than graco. We an pop ours up and down in minutes and it stores compactly. We live in a small home and when we thought our third home we knew he would be in our room for some time. He is now a year and still sleeps comfortably in his pack and play. We love it!
I have a crib upstairs for my son to sleep in but I have the Pack 'N' Play downstairs so he can be closer to me. He enjoys sleeping in the napper and I find the changing table very convenient.
Overall good playard. My LO is not even 2 months yet but she already doesn't fit in the bassinet (too short for her). I moved her to the mid-level which is a harder surface so she is now getting used to it. She huffs and puffs a lot in her sleep while there. The storage space below is very useful. A definite drawback is that the changer is not removable/foldable. As it is, the changer hangs over part of my LO's body, which is kind of odd. Also, why isn't the bassinet portable? I wonder if it is really that hard to combine all the useful features like portable bassinet, storage space, and foldable changer in one playard instead of scattering them over different products.
We purchased this pack in play after reading lots of reviews on lots of cribs. I like the versatility of the napper. We kept that portion in our room for the first few night before transitioning our little one to her own room. The diaper changer portion is a little flimsy and dips to the center; however this didn't seem to be a big problem until she got much older (around 7+ months). Overall great product and I loved the timeless paisley design!
My boyfriend and I live in a tiny house, so we have minimal space for multiple baby items, and with this being both his and mine first child we preferred certain things new rather than used. I chose this pack n play (and received it as a baby shower gift!) because it has multiple different uses, and can easily be rolled room to room so I can use it where ever baby and I are spending our time during the day. And easily fits next to the bed for night time use. Our son isn't due until the end of June but i'm already in love with this item, just thinking of how convenient and space saving it will be! I was able to put it together myself (after some trial and error before I finally gave in and read the instructions) and though some pieces were a bit more difficult to get together I found it manageable and it didn't take up much time =)
Love the product and the Newborn Napper and changing station are going to be helpful. However, the instructions are hard to read and there are no videos on how to put the accessories together, it took me almost a week to finally get the changing station put together. Other than that little inconvenience i love the Graco Pack 'n Play Playard with Newborn Napper Station LX
This pack and play had every single thing I was looking for. The napper is super nice and comfortable, my baby liked it, and the changing table is quite sturdy. The problem is that the napper is incredibly hard to remove if you want to go back and forth between the napper and bassinet. I wanted my child to get used to sleeping in the bassinet, but it was so hard to put the napper in and out, I didn't end up using the napper more than a handful of times. Similarly, the changing table has to be clicked out to use the bassinet. It comes out much easier, but is still a hassle to remove every time you want to set baby down for a nap. I thought it folded down, but it does not. I love the pack and play itself, and the storage area is very convenient. I just shouldn't have bothered with all of the bells and whistles.
