I love this crib. We have a small nursery and this crib is the perfect size. It fits wonderfully and looks beautiful! The nursery also has built in cherry finished shelves and the wood finish matches wonderfully. It wasnt too hard to set up either, took my husband and father in-law about an hour. We are very pleased with this purchase. I can't wait to see how our baby girl likes it!
This was the ONLY stationary-side crib that I could find that seemed appropriate for someone of my stature. I'm 5'3" and was fretting over finding a crib that met the current safety standards (not a drop-side), yet would still allow me to comfortably lay my baby down. Not only does this crib fit the bill, it is beautiful, easy to put together and very affordable. When I purchased the crib, all that was left was the Classic Cherry and I wasn't sure how it would look with the other furniture which has a dark walnut stain. The cherry finish is very pretty and is dark enough that it doesn't really clash. However, please note that you may need a crib mattress that's a little longer in length in order to get a tight fit. I purchased the Serta Nightstar Eco Firm Mattress and it fit perfectly. It is a standard-size mattress, but is 52" in length which works best with the Shelby Classic Crib.
I love this crib, being a first time parent i shopped around online quite a bit.. i found this at walmart.com at the best price for the exact same crib at other competitor websites. i am very please with the build and material. pretty sturdy and love the size, a bit lower than most but perfect for us. Very pleased with purchase
Scratching easily is the only reason I am not giving this product five stars. One of my cats was in the nursery with me and I had some curtains I was hanging up draped from one side of the crib to the other .Poor kitty thought that they were a hammock and fell right through to the box springs( didn't have the mattress in yet) and anyways she was freaking out and used one of the sides of the crib to jump out and left three scratches in the wood. So be very careful with this crib when putting it together , etc. I am a FTM and love this crib . It is on the short side as I have read in other reviews but that isn't a problem for me because I am only 5'6. I haven't had to actually use the product yet as my baby isn't due for another three months.
