Hubby loves Chili, but I hate it when he cooks it. We decided to do a taste test of all canned (and jar/bottled) chilis available at most stores, and much to our surprise, this one won!!! It's great!!
I have been buying this chili for months and I will never switch to another brand! This is by far my favorite. It has great flavor and you can't beat the price for it!
Watch out when you open the can - this thing is full! Delicious taste, much surprising how tasty it is.
I bought this GV chili on impulse because of the lower price! I was pleasantly surprised!! The can was full of beef and the taste was good! I will definitely purchase again!
This is the best coney dog sauce I have EVER bought from a store, and I am 52. Actually chunks of meat, thick even when heated and not super spicy. Just bought additional cans to have in my pantry. Not sure why there were comments about dog foods, etc... this stuff is delish!!!
We usually buy Hormel Chili but it has gone up in price so much we decided to try the Great Value brand. I told my son that all the Great Value products we have tried have been very good, so we should try this. It is better than Hormel Chili. From now on we will buy the Great Value.
pretty good flavor chili for being Walmart brand perfect spicy maybe bit for the older crowd mid spice for the spice heads
We are comparing various less-expensive chili brands since Hormel and Wolf are so much more expensive now. This product has some zip and a little tomato in the ingredients but it's a lot more watery (and less meat) than the Dennison's that I just reviewed, which had huge chunks of meat but lacked flavor. This Great Value offering costs $.18 less but has substantially less meat. It's in the "brown chili" category, and has almost no tomato flavor. It also has MSG (monosodium glutamate) which cause allergic reactions or nightmares in some people, so we'll avoid this product in the future. We'll stick to the more expensive name-brands in the future, for $.50 more per can.
Look at the picture on the can its loaded with beef. In reality its more of a chili sauce with very little meat. Taste is ok. I won't by again
Ordered three cans and two were dented on the side. I do not use dented cans.
