I bought this to make a dip due to it being a little cheaper than the name brand. It melts and taste just like the name brand. So I figure if it taste good and melts good why not save a little money.
Just as good as Velveeta and so much more affordable.

Did the ingredients change? When melting to use for dip it's not creamy. Fine for grilled cheese though :)
It was really the good the first time I bought it for a cheese dip. But the second time, it came moldy! I always use it the same day I buy it (don't buy unless I need it) and it was moldy the day I bought it! So disgusting!
Product was of good quality as far as taste, but it was shipped very poorly. Product came mashed with product.unsealed.overall the packaging of the whole order was poor, as I have had other products damaged in shipping.
These cheese tastes great, makes a great dip that I added Great Value diced tomatoes to but I paid almost $4 for 1lb, which was my mistake because I thought is was the 2lb block but it wasn't. Right after I bought it, the price went to $1.50 which is more reasonable. It does taste good and melts great but watch the price
Usually, store brands are very close in quality to name brand products, but not Melt 'n Dip cheese. it did not melt smoothly, and the taste was no where close to the taste of Velveeta. My children said it tasted like "melted plastic", and at the time they had no idea I had switched brands.
I ordered Velveeta cheese, 24 ounces and they shipped me 2 ounces. Aggravated I have to get an exchange.
