Taste great. I cooked it with a fresh tomato.
My wife fixed a recipe using ground beef in with the beans over jasmine rice. I'm telling you it was delicious.
Delicious anytime, but especially slow-cooked. I tried these in my crockpot, cooking them for 8 hours. They were delicious, so I made a country meal of beans, cornbread, and I forgot the other things. The beans were a hit. I shared them with other family and had plenty left over for refried bean tacos.
these are great. i found instant pot recipies where i half cook the beans for making chili from scratch. Quick and easy to do and very tasty. (particularly made into frito pie with some chips and cheese)
These Pinto Beans were awesome. I followed the directions on the bag. This is another product that I recommend saving some money and purchasing great value brand. We added the diced ham that Wal-Mart sells as well. Made an excellent meal.
Very clean beans. I did not soak so it took really long time to cook in my crockpot. They taste very goid. I seasoned with ham hock.
Great price. They make for a good pot of beans whether soaking over night or an instant recipe, they work great and taste perfect!
Perfectly portioned in small bag that is just right for 4-6 people when cooked. Great with an onion, celery, water, spices and a few carrots with 4-6 oz ham steak cut up in OR a cheap ham hock and cooked in 20-30 min in hotpot or 1 1/2 on top of stove. Ive never found a small stone or bad bean in these like I have in other brands.
Just dry beans. A little pricey for size. Convenient to have in storage. We will see if they get soft or are tough when cooked.
I'm always buying bags of dried beans various kinds pinto, butter, navy, but one thing I do get is Great Value brands. G.V. pintos they're good as any name brand beans no matter where you go there is no company sorting and bagging them up 1 bean at a time making sure their bags are the best the same farmer that bag up or sold bulk to (I want mention no names) also change his bags and they were Great Value pintos the next day. bottom line save yourself a few dollars at the store and try Walmart's Great Value Brands I did and not had 1 complant from no one. Try it Buy a bag next time you go.
