This product was expired since August 10, I opened it and it smelled horrible. I will be returning it for a refund.
Asked that this not be an option fo replacement. The smell of these are disgusting. Twice, I've given these a chance, and twice it has proven to have a rotten smell
Expired WELL before the use by date. The sausage smelled so bad it was immediately thrown in the trash before it had even been cooked all the way through. Absolutely disgusting.
It was rotten and busted out of the package!
The sausage had a weird smell while it was cooking. I thought I was crazy but we all woke up sick the next day.
Ordered these through Curbside Pick up. After opening the package the smell of this Sausage was so disgusting and putrid that I was literally gagging. I threw the package out. A waste of $3.00. Will never ever buy this product again. Looking at the reviews the disgusting smell seems to be a problem with this item.
I have purchased this sausage before and my family liked it. However, when I sliced into the last package I bought, the awful smell was overwhelming. It had gone bad before the expiration date printed on the packaging. I wrapped it in two Walmart bags and planned to return it to the store, but I couldn't even stand to have it in my car...the odor was THAT bad. I will pay the extra money and go with Jimmy Dean from now on.
I just received two of these about a week ago and they smelled funny when I opened them and ground meat isn't supposed to have any odor to it at all of course unless it has additives. I can looking at the date and said April whatever I thought well that can't be it until I looked again and it says April of 2023! I know, from working at Walmart in the meat section I have stock that particular item and it comes in Frozen. so obviously somebody in the warehouse didn't rotate properly and when I got it it was over a year old. I know that stuff happens I worked at a grocery store for 30 years and I worked at Walmart for another two but the people that stalk these items are supposed to glance at the dates while they're putting I'm on the shelf the final line in checks and balances if you will.
Great value roll sausage was labeled MILD. Cooked half pound … burnt mouth. Thought it would be like GV link sausage bit disappointed it wasn't.
this sausage smells so putrid, like it was made from week old decayed meat. i tried to buy it a second time thinking there was something wrong with the first roll but it was just as disgusting. the original variety too. just inedible and probably unsafe.
