Purchased this one to replace the 60v 13" cordless 2.0ah we bought last Spring.A little heavy but worked flawlessly until this April for the first trim, somehow the feed for the spool got messed up. We opened it up thinking it would be an easy fix but nope.We have an electric trimmer that we have used for four years and was totally stumped by the Greenworks one,we ended up throwing the tool away and ordered this newer, smaller version. If you have a small yard or garden, this will work in cutting the lawn as well as trimming the sides. The only issue was the spool that is installed,it cut itself off at least four times, were we ended up taking it out and using our other brand's .065-inch single line spool instead. It took 45 minutes (due to the spool issue) to finish but it still has one bar left of energy on the battery.
I am a 75 year old woman, and it is light enough for me to work with it. Also, I never did anything with a chain saw before it came, so was a bit nervous, but no reason was found to continue being fearful!! It is just what I need to get rid of some of the small trees that have come up on our property!
This is the perfect size chainsaw every household should have! Great performance!!
Bought this little saw to help with branches and smaller logs so I didn't have to bring out the gas powered chain saw, or fuss with reaching things with the electric one. The saw has been amazing, and is now my favorite saw. It is lightweight, which is a big plus, and has been perfect for cutting fallen branches and limbs, and for smaller logs. The only drawback was that the battery only lasted for 1/2 and hour (which was pretty amazing, considering the workout it gets) so I have ordered a backup.
Long lasting battery and super simple to operate!
Did what I wanted it to. Good price was able to take down a bunch of trees on one charge. If you are looking for a hobby chainsaw this clicks every box. It was easy to set up and go to work. My 12 was able to use it.
I bought this chain saw and continue to use it. The chain keeps coming off, but I have figured out how to keep it adjusted correctly. It is great for small seedlings and small limbs. I love this saw. Battery lasts a long time. I would recommend buying a second battery, because you may be at the end of your cutting and need just a little more time to finish. Don't buy this for big projects. But great for cleaning up and lots of pruning where the loopers are just too hard to use.
I purchased this saw to help clearing light brush at the rear of our property. My gas powered 16" saw was too heavy for the job, and my it was too far (about 180') for my corded electric saw. most of the brush and vines were about 1" to 1-1/2". This saw was perfect for the job; light enough to easily use for several hours, and made short work of these vines and brush. vines and branches from 1-1/2" to 2" were a bit difficult and I needed to fire up the gas saw for anything over 2". Stuff under 1/2" was a bit too springy and I needed a pair of hand loppers for that. The saw does leak a little oil, but that's pretty much the nature of all chain saws, and this one leaks a lot less than my old corded electric pole saw. I would happily buy another.
I bought this for my 80 year old mom. The battery lasted much longer than I expected and I was surprised how well it cut even larger pieces. The one drawback is that the battery is difficult to remove from the saw when it is time to recharge - almost impossible for my mom to do herself.
Convenient to use without having to depend on a/c current. What I don't like is the unbalance of doing edging, which is why I bought it, I can't balance it due to it having just one wheel for guide. I plan on adding a second wheel by extending the plastic axle. Other than that, it's great.
