I just got this trimmer ..I found Its put together well with quality parts . I tried it out for about 15 minutes on the low setting , trimming around my fenced in back yard , did a great job.and when I was done I put the battery on the charger and to my suprise it didn't need charged yet. I don't know about other electric cordless trimmers but compares well against gas trimmers I have used. Has two features my gas trimmer does not have , a split shaft so one can put attachments on it, like a edger and it came with a shoulder strap. now I got to find someone to buy my gas trimmer..
Built very strong and works very well. I like using this product better than gas units or corded units.
A heavy but well-balanced trimmer with power to mow the toughest vegetation. Worth every penny I spent on it!
I love it so far! Only used twice to trim around my house and yard. Plenty of power and battery life. As stated this power unit also accept other attatchments. I have a Troybilt gas trimmer with various attatchments and they all fit and work with the Greenworks trimmer.
I was able to connect all my Ryobi Expand-it attachments to it. I am able to trim and edge my yard and still have half the power on the battery. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I recently purchased the 14" 40 Volt cordless string trimmer and I love it. The battery last much longer than I expected. It doesn't get hot like my Gas trimmer did, the battery recharges quickly and last a long time. The variable two speeds make it very versatile. All my accessory's from my gas trimmer work great on this unit. I am extremely well satisfied.
I bought this because I got tired of gas trimmers. This trimmer works just like a gas trimmer but less noise. The motor end is fairly heavy but the balance of the whole unit is good. Charges fast and it looks like I can trim with it twice before having to charge again.
Satisfied with this purchase, but am a little disappointed there's no throttle control. It only spins at one speed when pressing the trigger unlike every other one I've owned/operated. This is my first electric trimmer so maybe it's just an inherent part of the design
While using this product, the head and gear assembly came off and now I can't find all the pieces, now it's completely useless. At least I got most of my yard cleaned up before then.
