The Nashville body of the Gretsch G6120 Eddie Cochran Signature features an all-maple construction with parallel bracing and a special "open" internal body design to give this guitar great sound and a big, resonant voice with incredible sustain. The body is finished in a gloss urethane Western Maple Stain to mirror the finish on the original guitar, and boasts white/black top and back binding. Two oversized "F" holes are carved into the arched top and are double-bound for an elegant look. The neck is crafted from 2-piece maple and is topped off with a comfortable 9.5"-radius rosewood fingerboard that wears distinctive pearloid block inlays with a western motif of cacti, steer heads, and fences. The neck is finished in gloss urethane and features single-ply white binding. The Gretsch 6120 Eddie Cochran Signature comes stock with a pair of perfectly matched pickups that mirror the mods on Cochran's 6120. A Gretsch standard since the late '40s, a DynaSonic single-coil pickup sits in the bridge position of this guitar. Not only does this pickup offer individually adjustable pole-pieces, the DynaSonic pickup delivers shimmering trebles and yield a rich, full response on the low end. In the neck position, a Lindy Fralin "Dog Ear" pickup dishes out that unmistakable single-coil tone of the original neck pickup. The pickups are routed through a master volume, master tone control, and a 3-way toggle. Both pickups feature an independent volume control that enables you adjust the volume of each pickup individually. The gold-plated hardware includes a set of Grover V98 Sta-Tite open-back tuners and a rosewood-based compensated polished aluminum Bigsby bridge paired with a Bigsby B6GBVF vibrato tailpiece.
