I had to fill an existing opening in a cement block wall. This was the perfect size. I thought this had a remote with it, that would make it better. To also have heat is where we decided to spend the extra money. Even in Florida we have had to use it. The garage is not very insulated but this unit cools very quickly....it was cooler in the garage than in the house. Very quite for a wall unit. Free shipping to the store made it very easy...no hassle picking this up the day before Christmas - it even came in early!
I love how hard it blows good and cold, and the heat is good had to turn the heat down. The only thing I didn't like is when it's on low it still blows hard which is a good for some people but when you have sinus trouble like I do air blowing hard is sometimes not a good. Would have been even better if it had a remote so you can put it on certain temperature so the compressor would click on and off.
I haven't had it installed very long, but it's functioning well in Kansas 100 + degree heat.

Have used the air conditioner portion of this unit. Was really impressed with the air conditioning portion. Very cold air-air circulated throughout the room (12X28').
Air condidtioner works fine, but haven't yet tried out the heat.
When i plugged the ac in there is a knocking sound in it
