For the price this Belgian waffle maker does the job...no frills or trills! It does not let you know when the waffle is done, however. You do have to watch it.
I just love this waffle maker, I had bought a 4 slice one that makes the very thin waffles and really didn't care for it. So I got this one and I just love it. I make a large batch and freeze them for my grandkids to enjoy anytime they want. My granddaughter made chocolate waffles last week and it's just the right size for her. Perfect, nothing burns like the other one did.
I WAS LUCKY TO GET THIS WAFFLE MAKER FOR $15 JUST A FEW WEEKS BEFORE BLACK FRIDAY. I WANTED TO BUY ANOTHER ONE ON CYBER MONDAY & THE PRICE WAS $24. WHAT I LIKE BEST ABOUT IT IS THAT IT REALLY GETS HOT ENOUGH TO GET THE JOB DONE QUICKLY. I MAKE MY OWN NON-STICK SPRAY USING MIXTURE OF OIL & WATER, SHAKING IT VIGOROUSLY IN A SPRAY BOTTLE & SPRAYING THE GRIDS QUICKLY BEFORE THE OIL SEPARATES. BY THE TIME THE GREEN LIGHT COMES ON, THE WATER EVAPORATES LEAVING A NICE COATING & NO TOXIC AEROSOLS.
I bought these for my daughters Christmas present, & she already opened it & was so excited that she cooked belgiam waffles for all of us that night..Her children love those waffles. It seems to be pretty durable, works good, & puts out delicious waffles.. It already has had quite a work-out, the only problem she had was to get it to the crispyness that her family likes, shes very happy with it.
This waffle maker met all of my expectations and exceeded them. For the low price, I was wondering how well it would work, but it works beautifully! The waffles come out perfect every time! Then for counter storage it stands up straight and can be backed into a neat corner or easily placed in a cabinet. Great Value! I have a family of six and I can make six (very nice sized waffles) in about 10 minutes!! Can't beat that!
I bought this for my Sister for her birthday and she loves it. So I had blueberry waffles for breakfast this morning. It works great and it's to clean up.
It works great and it's the perfect size for me. I give it four stars instead of five because the plastic slide that adjusts the temp. is really quite sloppy and cheap. But it seems to work so if you need a small waffle maker I think this is a good choice.
Works well just adjust temp setting on the lower side and don't over cook. Great for 2 people.
I used this for brunch on Christmas Eve. I have made pancakes but never waffles. I decided to buy it to make waffles for our Christmas eve brunch. I make great waffles!!!! I have other Hamilton Beach products & am happy with them too! The directions were easy to follow & cooking time was as stated in booklet for desired crispness or no crispness. I would recommend this to anyone.
You get what you pay for with this. It's cheap so don't expect anything fancy but it does work great & is worth what you pay for it. Definatly a great buy for someone on a tight budget!
