great little iron for the price.
Great iron with great steam. I did a lot of comparison shopping amongst similar irons at a gamut of stores, and this is an excellent deal at this price point. Regarding the "Cord Management", I thought the iron had an automatic cord retract feature via inertia reel (like a car's seat belt works), but it is actually hand-wound with the white case serving as a cover. (my fault for not reading the description carefully, as it does in fact properly describe the feature). I have used the iron approximately 10-12 times since I received it. Although I haven't "drop tested" it yet, it appears to be tough enough. Good product!!!
I iron a lot, and have had a hard time lately finding a good iron to replace my old one. It was on it's last leg and I ordered and returned several irons before I got this one. I don't bother with the cord "management" feature. Some have complained it has to be refilled a lot. That's fine with me as it means it is putting out a lot of steam. I have bought way more expensive irons that aren't as heavy duty as this one.
This is an amazing iron. I love the cord management system, you can just roll up the cord and tuck it inside the compartment at the back. Irons great, amazing steam.
this iron is well made and is ready to tackle any job. I like this iron very much I use it in my sewing tasks.
I own 3 steam irons ....this is by far the best. The burst of steam is the 'bomb'. This iron is big and bad enough to handle all of my ironing needs. Would definitely recommend this product ....... you won't be disappointed.
This is a fantastic iron. Cord management is great and so are the automatic shutoff alarms!!!! Well worth the price.
I have not spent this much on an iron in my life, but was fed up with the residue that gets stuck to less expensive irons. I have to say I am impressed - GREAT steam option, self clean option, and irons like a champ. It is a little heavy, but with all of the features it has I can understand why. Love it!
Good value and features for the money. Love the cord management system on this new model of the Durathon Iron. I anticipate many years of service from this quality Hamilton Beach product!
I DON'T LIKE THAT THERE ISN'T A PLACE/NICHE FOR YOUR THUMB AND INDEX FINGER. I SLIDE INTO THE MIST BUTTON AND WET THE CLOTHING. I WILL FIND A WAY TO FIX THAT. THE SOLE PLATE IS SMALLER AND AN ODD SHAPE. I LOVE IT. EASY TO USE. NOT TO HEAVY OR LIGHT. WHEN I IRON PANTS, I KEPT HITTING THE FABRIC WHEEL. DIDN'T HAPPEN WITH OTHER ITEMS. THE STORAGE FOR THE CORD IS A GOOD IDEA THAT DOESN'T WORK WELL, BUT MAKES FOR A GREAT STAND UP REST. I READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING. I WAS LOOKING AT THE MORE EXPENSIVE UNITS (R) AND DECIDED TO GIVE THIS A TRY. VERY HAPPY I DID.
