I bought this for the burst of steam. It's lightweight and makes it easy for me to use and love the extra steam. It comes with a long cord also.
Love it. Lightweight, smooth flow, heat and steam are great. And the cord is plenty long enough.
At first I thought it was heavier than my last iron but that actually helps get out those deeper wrinkles
it's a full size iron and is faily light. It's lighter than our oldviron that quit. Bottom plate is durable, good options for steam, cord is long enough to reach a wLl plug-in.
Our old one was literally falling apart and leaving marks on our clothes. This one is working fine after owning it for about three weeks. I use the iron about 6 days a week. It was surprisingly heavy but that's not a problem for me. Although I would imagine someone with certain physical conditions might be concerned about the weight. The only thing I'm not sure about is the self cleaning option. The instructions say to hold the button down until the water reservoir is empty. It does spit and steam at first but it cools off and stops before the reservoir is empty. Its too early to tell if that self-cleaning feature will help prevent the hard water build up that happened with our old one. Its a huge improvement - almost any iron would have been.
I love this iron. It is easy to use. The self cleaningvfeature is a plus. Highly recommend this product.
I go through irons like paper plates. I've owned several different brands, all of which eventually seem to stop working well or at all. I tried this one because I hadn't used this particular iron product before. I would say it is good, easy to fill, doesn't sputter or leak, and irons my items well. The dial for on/off and temperature is a little hard to turn but that could just be me. I have other Hamilton Beach products which also work very well and last. I also recommend following the instructions on how to fill, storing when not in use and so on.
Tried new Iron today. very heavy compared to my old Iron. This makes it uncomfortable for steaming hanging clothing. Has good steam. Long cord. Narrow poin is nice. I would include picture, I tried three times and and nothing downloaded plus I had to redo review.
I bought this iron because it had great reviews, but it did not work for me. It was too bulky and the handle was uncomfortable for my arthritic hands. It also being mostly plastic did not get hot enough for ironing jeans and other heavy fabric. I took it back and ordered the same type I had used for years from Black and Decker , a model made from stainless metal. .As they no longer have that iron in our local store I had to order site to store.I would not reccomend this iron unless you are doing only minimal ironing and have strong hands.
I do know 2 years is long time but this iron had safety features and those should never expire. But we used this iron and suddenly its temperature started rising so much that while ironing it started burning the underlying cloth. I have been ironing on that iron stand for long time but i never expected this from such branded item. I mean these things are suppose to run for years. It did not sounded anything, I switched it off after it started smoking and that's when it never worked again... If its suppose to have life of 2 years only then I am good else this is an issue.
