I took my time putting it together and adjusting the ropes to get it so it was the right fit for me. It still did not have the right angle for my back and the cushion felt to tight, I was laying down more than sitting upright. I finally added another set of holes about 6" below the existing ones so I could lower the top bar. That allowed the cushion to have more give and I can sit at a comfortable angle and the cushion also now supports my back. Whenever I want to take a brake, I always go to this chair as it is the most comfortable one in the house. Thanks Hammaka....I love this hanging chair!
I've had 2 of these chairs hanging from my deck for two years (this will be their third summer). They are comfortable, well made, and fought over often by visiting friends and family. Take them inside over the winter and they will last a long time. I do wish they had a canopy to prevent dirt from falling on me from the overhead deck. I plan to make canopies for them this year. Oh, they dry fast after rain. I'd buy them again.
The first time I saw this chair was in Nova Scotia, Canada. The owners of this chair bought it in Daytona Beach, FL. I loved it and had to have one. I did some research and found it! I now have it hanging in my screened in porch overlooking the TN river. I love it!!
Putting the thing together was a challenge. Also, the finish on the wood seems somewhat slapdash. Other than those two caveats, now that I have it suspended from my Sycamore tree overlooking the creek, it looks and feels great.
It took a bit of fiddling with the ropes to get it to hang level & since the sitting angle is adjustable, it is a bit of work. The wooden arms are not well finished. Mine had areas that did not get a stain & the overall impression is that this chair looks cheap. I am debating whether or not to refinish the wood myself.
The fabric for second Nami Chair hangs in the sun under our boat house. You can't beat it for comfort. The frame for the second chair is still in the box it came in. You can't buy replacement fabric, so when the fabric fades and or wears out, which it does too soon, you have to buy a whole new chair! Pity.
Second time buying this product. First one lasted almost a year with it continually left in the sun and rain. This one remains uneven, however we are constantly readjusting the cords.
Shipping Box was damaged also looks like this was a previous return ( box looked like it was retapped).The wood finish was damaged
Don't use these outdoor chairs outdoors, the material fades after one summer. Oh yeah we live in Michigan so our summers are only 4 month (June - September) Long. This material is sub par compared to our Lloyd Flanders outdoor furniture and our table umbrellas made by Sunbrella material. It gets worse, we called Hayneedle to discuss the product and our dissatisfaction with the material and the response from the Hayneedle representative was OUR RETURN POLICY IS 30 DAYS......sorry!! Do not buy this product or products from Hayneedle.
It would be great if the chair came with all the parts. We called and they said it would be taken care of and we still don't know. We haven't heard from them. The one metal table we ordered the welding was awful and it was broken on lattice top. The other 2 items were fine. Boxes were in better shape and don't seen to have been opened.
