I am an avid Jeeper. I will not go out on trails without quality recovery gear that includes a strap. This strap has surpassed my expectations upon unboxing it. It has also performed very well during offroad recovery. You may have seen my review for the 30ft strap. While i prefer that straps length, this strap goes in my secondary vehicle and is nice and compact.
I really like this strap for my truck, in particular the looped ends on it so I can easily attach it to my tow. And I have yet to find something it can't sustain in weight! Extremely high-quality strap
I ordered 2 different straps. This review is for the 20ft 11,000lbs strap, but I will talk about both. I already own quite a few Keeper products, and they have all served me well. I decided to grab a couple of their tow straps after I got stuck in my work vehicle, and a land scaper pulled me out with his straps. He had Keeper straps. He said he used them for pulling out bushes and stumps. I got 20ft 11,000lbs for my personal vehicle and 30ft 15,000lbs for my work vehicle. I already owned a tow rope, but I wanted these straps because they are stronger and longer. I ordered them a couple of months ago for a couple of reasons. Here in Massachusetts, we usually have a bunch of snow storms, and people always end up off the side of the road. I deliver in a very rural area for UPS. There are barely any asphalt roads. It's all dirt and mud lanes. I was waiting for a snowstorm or to get stuck while working to test out the straps. This year was strange because we didn't get any snow. Also, I haven't gotten stuck since I ordered them. During the warmer months, straps come in handy when we go ride trails and don't have winches. I still wanted to test these straps out, so I called my neighbor and asked him if I could tow him around the neighborhood. He said "No I'll tow you." I laughed because, as you will see in my pictures, I should have been pulling him. I like the loops on the end of the straps. It makes strapping it to the tow hooks easy and securely. These are definitely something everyone should have in their vehicle. Even if you have a car, it's still nice to have. I've got stuck quite a few times at work. Sometimes, another truck will pull up to see if I need a hand, but they don't have straps themselves. If I had straps in my vehicle, one of these trucks could have helped. The last time I got stuck, a landscaper was driving buy and had straps. He had me unstuck in seconds. Usually, if the work vehicle gets stuck, we have to call our in-house mechanic, and then he has
This will be perfect for pulling the skoolie out to get worked on. Let's hope the truck has enough behind it but the straps will do just fine.
I didn't use this strap to tow a vehicle (yet), but I did use it in conjunction with a come-along to rip the deck off my house! Strap is flexible, yet sturdy. Good length for towing vehicles, I wish it was a little longer for other miscellaneous pulling tasks. If I had to find a con, I would say the loop on the end could be a little bigger, but honestly, it didn't cause any issues in my use-case and I don't foresee any in a towing/recovery application either.
