First off, the packaging was great as it was delivered in double shipping boxes so the pan was in pristine shape and condition. The roasting pan itself is sturdy and the size in my estimate will fit a turkey and several other dishes around. I think that disposable is fitting if you wan to use this for family gathering. I have no complaint except that having a lid would have been nice.
The Handi-Foil Eco-Foil Large Rectangular Rack Roaster Pan is the only pan that I use to fix all of my turkeys in for my holiday dinners or any of your baking needs plus it’s strong and durable but I’m still cautious so I will place a cookie sheet under mine just less worry about being burned easy clean up you can cover and place in the refrigerator or just throw in the garbage . Me and my family wouldn’t use any other pan would highly recommend for your baking needs.
I was given the Handi-Foil Eco-Foil Large Rectangular Rack Roaster Pan to give my honest review and opinion. This Handi-Foil Eco-Foil Large Rectangular Rack Roaster Pan was much larger than I expected it to be. What I really like about this pan is that it is really thick and sturdy. I dont have to worry about the pan sinking in when I take it out of the oven. What I also like is how deep the pan is. Most pans only allow room for the chicken alone. With this pan I am able to add in my vegetables as well. I would definitely recommend this pan as it is very durable and can be used for many different variety of dishes. The best part is that it is throw away so clean up is a breeze.
This is a large rectangular rack roaster, which is 16X11" and 2 5/8 inches deep. Good size foiled pan for a large turkey or any other large cut of meat, or even a casserole if you have several guests to serve. These are really great to have on hand for the Holidays. Made very sturdy and cools well with even heat. Great for baking, serving and transporting foods. Made of 100% recycled aluminum, convenient and disposable. Don't forget to support bottom when removing from the oven. I also liked that this item is made in the USA, always a plus. I recommend this item very highly and appreciate the opportunity to review this item.
It might not be enough knowing that the dimensions are 16 5/8 x 11 7/8 in. x 2 5/8 in. Although that certainly sounds extra large, let me put it into perspective for you...this easily holds nearly a TWENTY FIVE AND ONE HALF pound turkey!! Don't believe me...check out my pictures! In addition to being extremely roomy, it is the thickest roaster pan I've come across. This is especially important when cooking something like a turkey, as you certainly don't want a flimsy pan that may bend and spill all the juices as you are moving the pan around. This has quickly become my favorite disposable roaster pan that won't likely be replaced by another, and I would/will buy again!!
According to some sources, disposable aluminum baking pans tend to cook unevenly and some foods don't brown as well. They are also rather flexible and can be difficult to handle, especially when removing them from the oven. By placing the disposible pan on a baking sheet, both of these problems can be resolved. If browning is a concern, pre-heating the baking sheet is often recommended. There are many reports claiming that aluminum is not healthy to cook with, but the general consensus from scientific sources is that the amount of aluminum absorbed into the food is not enough to be a concern. However, aluminum pans should be avoided when cooking acidic foods such as tomatoes, citrus, and vinegar. Some claim that aluminum cookware can cause a metallic taste in foods, but this is usually when referring to acidic foods. I have not noticed much difference between different brands of disposible aluminum pans but the Handi-Foil Large Rectangular Rack Roaster has raised areas in the bottom to allow for movement of juices during cooking and acts somewhat as a rack. The instructions say to remove the juices with a baster before attempting to remove it from the oven, however by placing the pan on a baking sheet beforehand this becomes less of an issue--you simply lift it by the baking sheet instead. To me, the best feature of this particular pan is that it fits almost perfectly into the drip pan slot of my propane BBQ. The original drip pan wore out and a replacement is not available, but these particular roasting pans work very well for a drip pan and so far have lasted well over a year each and I generally BBQ at least twice a week. I can even use it for my BBQ after roasting a turkey in it. It's also made in the USA from recycled aluminum!
I chose this product, because I've bought this brand before in tut he supermarket and it is always good quality. You can put your large Thanksgiving turkey in this with no problem. It doesn't come with a rack, but I have plenty of those. It is sturdy for a disposable. Also, the glue on the label doesn't stay in the pan That's a plus for me. Best of all you can just toss it when you are done. One less pan to wash on Thanksgiving. You can't go wrong. I have also used these when I have a big bbq. I just put all of the meat in it and bring it to the table rather than using separate platters. You can throw some aluminum foil over it to keep everything warm.
This review is for Handi-foil large rack roaster. This rectangular shaped rack roaster is made of recycled aluminum and measured 16 5/8 x 11 7/8 x 2 5/8 inches. It has several cavities at the bottom. The sides walls are curvy. Pros: -Cavities at the bottom to collect juices for roasting whole turkey, whole chicken and even whole fish -Adequate thickness and sturdy for a disposable aluminum rack -The size of the rack is accurate as printed on the label seen in the image Cons: -Cavities and the curvy side walls makes it difficult to cleanly scoop out stews, cooked rice or smaller size cooked vegetable from the rack (a flat bottom and straight sides rack preferable for this purpose. -Requires bottom support when pulling it out of the oven for heavy contents such as a large turkey My 4 stars rating reflected the use of the rack strictly for roasting turkey, chicken or fish as this rack is labeled for.
This handi-foil Eco foil large rectangular rack roaster pan is very practical to have around the house. I cook a lot, basically every day, and some days I really do not want to have to do a lot of dishes. This pan is absolutely perfect for that. I used it to roast some vegetables in my oven. Nothing ended up sticking to the pan and everything came out perfectly cooked. You could fit a large chicken or a medium turkey. The only thing I might change about this would have to be the sturdiest. While using it I noticed some writing on the bottom stating, to always have support by holding the bottom of the pan and not just the sides. I realized this is very important because even with the little bit of vegetables I had the sides were not strong enough to pull it out of the oven without holding the bottom. Besides making the sides of the pan a bit stronger I wouldn't change anything else about this. It's definitely a great thing to have around the kitchen.
This HANDI-FOIL large rectangular rack roaster aluminum pan measures 11-7/8” wide X 16-5/8” long X 2-5/8” deep. It is made in the USA from 100% recycled aluminum. It has ribs for strength but, it is a medium weight aluminum pan that must be supported on the bottom when filled to avoid collapsing while picking it up. This pan will fit into a standard wire warming rack. It does not come with a cover or handles. I use a pan like this when I take a prepared dish to a potluck dinner and at large family gatherings to eliminate some clean-up after eating. For a disposable aluminum pan this one is expensive considering that it is medium weight and does not have handles or a cover.
