wore out my 5 year old Harmony 300, so this was the logical replacement. Works perfect with my HTPC, Sanyo 46" TV, Panasonic BD Player, and Yamaha 5.1 Surround System. Took 15 minutes to load needed profiles to the 350, in the online application. of course it took me 3hrs. to figure out that the online app would not work in Google Chrome, my favorite browser. So, once I switched to MS IE, and installed Silverlight, the app MyHarmony fired right up and did the remote up grade in a blink.
This is a very good remote from a great company. It was very easy to set up. The only drawback is the writing is so small that in low light it is almost impossible to read if your eyes are a bit older like mine. It does what it says it does. If you are looking for a multiple activity remote this isn't it. All in all a good remote though.
This is my 2nd one. Now my wife and I each have our own :) Pros: Configure it online, not codes to enter into the device Clone as many different ones as you like Cons: The print on the device is incredibly small, very hard to read (60 year old eyes...) Weight balance is off, all of the weight is on the 'bottom' end making it awkward to hold and use in one hand.
Easy to program for both Samsung TV and OTA antenna through ChannelMaster DVR+.
I have a Jensen 12 volt tv in my M/H. The Dish Network remote would not work with it. Searched online and found that this remote would. I'm not the most computer savvy person (70 yoa) but I was able to download the instructions off the Harmony website. I got everything to work but couldn't get it to control the volume. Called the help line and the tech got it to work with no problem. It works fine. The only thing it doesn't control is the screen size. That and the fact that you have to have a computer to get the instructions are the only negatives.
The Logitech Harmony 300 series remotes are great, cheap and have tons of features, being able to control pretty much any device you can think of that has and IR remote. The MyHarmony app allows easy setup and customization. I have had a 300 remote for 4 years and some of the more commonly used buttons (Watch TV, volume up/down) have started to wear out and not work very well, so I hope the new version 350 has a better life span.
This is the little brother to many very expensive and deluxe remotes that Logitech offers under its Harmony brand. I've had some of the more expensive ones with screens, but in the end, this is probably all you'll need. I control my TV and Media Center computer with no problem. The nice thing about these, over standard universal remotes is that you can program macro events. When I press the power button, it stops any currently running video on the Media Center, and turns off the TV with that one button. When I press again, it turns on the TV, and goes to the Recorded TV screen on the Media Center. They can add many more features, and support is very helpful in helping you create any complex functions you want to do.
It worked great. took about 5-7 minutes to completely set to our tv.
the remote is ok. I'd love to give it a 5 star review, but it isn't what I expected coming from Logitech Harmony. I've owned harmony remotes in the past and loved them. I thought I'd change my old one out and get a newer one because of broken buttons. although I'm happy with the new one, I was very disappointed to learn that you can add only 1 activity to this remote. It will control all my devices, but unlike my last remote where I could just hit a button, and it would change inputs and tv settings to suit my needs for that activity, this remote has to do everything individually. very disappointed with that. unfortunately, I had to buy the remote to learn that since Logitech failed to mention that anywhere on their web page, and it isn't listed on walmart's specs for this device either. so, I'm telling everyone. IF YOU WANT TO DO MORE THAN 1 ACTIVITY, THIS IS NOT THE REMOTE TO PURCHASE AS IT DOES NOT DO MORE THAN 1.
Lagging on commands. Technical support non-existing. Was suggested by the folks at Channel Master for compatibility with their DVR+. Do NOT waste time or money. It has become a full-time job. You know the type of product: You begin to troubleshoot and next thing you know, you've gone so far down the rabbit hole you no longer see light. It is so not worth it.
