Detailed product description

Four hippos try to eat as many marbles as they can--as fast as they can. This game is fast-paced and riotous for kids who get to take turns popping a white marble into the ring, then furiously pressing on their hippo's levered tail to catch the prize. As if that's not enough, in the advanced game, all 20 marbles are released at the same time. Utter mayhem ensues, and whoever snares the most marbles wins. If only it would get kids to clean their plates as well as those pudgy hippos do!

The frantic marble-munching game. These hungry hippos can hardly wait to gobble marbles from your plate! The faster you press their tails, the more they chomp. Warning: Choking hazard due to small parts Not for children under 3 years Contains 20 marbles

I bought this as a birthday present for my friends 3 year old son. He loved it! It is very loud so my friend wasn't as excited about the game. The concept is easy for a 3 year old to understand, eat as many marbles as you can. So if you don't mind the noise, or if its not going to be in your home, buy it!

I loved this game as a kid and it hasn't changed. My girls and nieces and nephew still love it. It does take some assembly to be ready to play, but the fun for all ages is worth the wait. We had a 1 year old playing with a 30 year old and every one was having fun. The game is a little noisy, but I knew that going in, if you don't like noise stay away from this game. Overall, it was exactly what I expected and we had an hour of cousin and family bonding time at Christmas...perfect holiday fun!

My 4-year-old, 7-year-old, and 11-year-old all love this game. The only problem I have is that the box claims it's easier to store than before. Not true. The instructions say to take the hippos off to store it but the tabs broke when I tried this. Don't take the hippos off! I don't bother putting it back in the box now. Also, it's too noisy. I tell the lids to take it to thier room.

Not the same nostalgic game

This is a cheesy flimsy version of your favorite childhood game. Assembly is easy and it was a cheap gift, but it is difficult to use (for adults) because the springs catch sometimes and cause the hippos to lock up in the middle of the game. Not as sturdy as it should be for pounding down marbles. I'm disppointed--but at least my kids aren't. They love it--until their hippo locks up and they lose the game.

I did not like any thing about this game. Putting it together took some time and then it wouldn't fit back into the box unless it was taken back apart. It is loud, the heads don't always work right, and the balls get stuck inside it. My son only played with it for a short while so now the bulky thing is in the way. Waist of money!

I loved this game when I was a kid so when I saw it in the store I bought it for my son. It is of much less quality than the one I had 20 years ago. The hippos stuck constantly and I had problems with the tabs when trying to take it apart to put away. The one I had when I was a kid was very durable and provided hours of fun. We have only played this game a few times and I doubt it will make it through many more.

This is not worth buying. The Hippos get stuck constantly and is very poor quality. We have played this game twice. The kids love to play it, but get very aggravated that the hippos keep getting stuck. Some of the tabs have already broke off from putting together and taking apart (twice). Very Disappointed.

I bought this for my son for Christmas and it was so poorly built that we returned it right away! I had this game as a child and loved it, and played it for years!!! This one was so cheap and trashy and poor quality! Never again. I will try to find a vintage one now, they were great back then!
