I bought these shoes for my husband. He is a size 10.5 shoe and these are way too small. I didn't see a size reference anywhere in the description, so I assumed they were one size fits all and would come large. But we were sadly mistaken. I am a size 8 in women's shoes and they BARELY fit me either. So unfortunately I cannot comment fully on the comfort factor or effectiveness since they don't fit as they should. : (
