First Aid Antiseptic, Merthiolate Tincture, Merthiolate, Bottle 2 OZ Misc.: First aid antiseptic. Mercury free. Uses: First aid to help prevent skin infection in minor cuts, scrapes, burns. Directions: For adults and children 2 years of age and older. Clean the affected area. Apply a small amount of this product on the area 1 to 3 times daily. May be covered with a sterile bandage. If bandage, let dry first. May be covered with a sterile bandage. For Children Under 2 Years of Age: Consult a doctor. Warnings: For external use only. Flammability warning: Flammable - keep away from spark, heat & fire. Do not use: in large quantities, particularly over raw surfaces or blistered areas longer than one week except under medical supervision if seal on cap is broken or removed. Keep out of reach of children. Other warnings: Soaps will deactivate the effects of this product. In case of deep puncture wounds, animal bites or serious burns, consult a doctor. If redness, irritation, swelling or pain persists or increases, or if infection, rash or irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
