Opens on a large side so you don't have to slip the suet in a narrow opening. The plastic coating on the wire is good and thick.
All the birds eat this stuff.
Locks well and the birds love the suet that I add to it. Helps keep them warm in the winter!

l have suet racks on the sides of one bird feeder that the birds largely ignore. The birds seem toe prefer this exclusive presentation. The chain allows it to hang at an angle and the birds seem to prefer being on the downside of it. The suet disappears from this one first.

The chain is cheaply made is was broken when I received it
Chain broke 3 times. Had to replace with different hanger.
