This laminator has served us well! We've only allowed trained employees to use it to avoid costly mishaps. Those who are trained have had no issues whatsoever. I would buy this again.
We purchased this laminator 4 years ago. We found the more people used it, the more likely it was to get jammed. I think you should have a short training for users. We have had the film wrap around the 3rd hidden roller, and now it's so thick the other rollers won't work. Please don't load the machine unless you know how, that's how this latest machine problem happened. A service call is over $500 from this company just to come see what the problem might be, this doesn't include repairs.
The machine we purchased has been fine. Working with the company to get the tax charged to a tax exempt (approved) school district has not been easy...nor have we had any success in getting the refund.
Item is not as described. A 27 inch roll of laminating film will NOT fit on this machine. We had to downsize to a 25 inch roll.
The product at time of purchasing looks just great, but it comes with so little instructions it makes the process of setting it up very difficult, I called the customer services department to request assistance and no set-up video was even available on-line, if it was not because of my co-worker who help me set-up the new laminator
Within the first 6 months: The speed button is already stuck, the rollers make a noise when trying to go through. The laminate is constantly re-re-rolling around the rollers... Just NOT a good machine. Everything is installed correctly, but this item is just not a good machine.
This laminator was purchased for the school to replace a GBC laminator that had been in service for over 20 years with only periodic service calls. Thermal issues finally resulted in the decision to replace. This has been inservice for three months and has only worked about 2 weeks of that time. Service decided to replace as they declared it a lemon. It's been a month and they can't even tell me if a replacement is on the way. ACCO is not a good company to do business with and they don't stand by their products, give you service or communicate with you unless you initiate the contact.
