[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how easy this tape comes off the dispenser. It has not once bunched or stuck wrong. I like that it stays nice and flat and does not wrinkle. It cuts very nicely when packaging a box or anything for that matter.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I volunteer to evaluate products for 3M, and the company recently sent me a free sample of Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape. I have used it on several different boxes, one which had a heavy item inside and was shipping via a shipping company. I was very happy with how the tape went onto the package and how heavy the tape felt compared to my normal packaging tape. It was much more sturdy and adhered much better. The dispenser is very easy to use and it allows for a smooth cut when using the tape. Very happy and pleased with this heavy duty tape.

It holds on almost any surface. The amount and length could be a little longer but it's definitely enough. The tear teeth are sharp and make it easy to get any size piece you need.
Dispensers are getting better . Have used a lot of the High Performance packaging tape. This new Heavy Tape works better it stays in place on the dispenser until you use it again. There is 200'' less inches & is skinnier now. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate. I just used this product to tape up a cardboard box. I like this product mainly because of its compact size. The tape is strong and the attached dispenser makes it very easy to use. I also like the little strip on the tape that makes it easy to peel off the roll to get it started. I'd definitely buy more of these for my packing needs.

It dispensed very easily and smoothly. This tape is strong enough to tape cartons of books with just one strip! The adhesive on the tape really holds. The other thing I like about this tape is that it is clear so it can easily be used over labels without fear of covering important shipping information. The amount and length could be a little longer but it's enough. The tear teeth are sharp and make it easy to get any size piece you need.
I received a sample of this tape, I love the handy cutter Attachment. I always have to carry scissors to cut pieces of tape when using it on a package. I used it on my package that was busting at the seems to test the heavy duty part. The tape itself is thick. The stickiness works well. Just make sure to press it down on the box to stick it well. Usually I use too much tape bc i am not sure it would stay stuck. Well I let this sit in a humid room for a weekend before sending it on Monday. It stayed stuck and looked great. I have been using this tape for 13 yrs for all my son's packages with his deployments from Iraq to Afghanistan. Its the toughness of the adhesive that make me feel confident this tape does it's job.When you are waiting for a piece of home ,you wan to make sure it arrives.I would not use anything else,today I'm running out to buy more for another pkg for my son for the holidays.So,take my advice from a single parent military mom who counts her pennies.It is worth it,it is never a lot to buy and i use it for those precious packages. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape is strong. It holds up well. I used it to pack up a box of goodies to send to family out of town. It went on easily and the dispenser cut it cleanly and easily. My only complaint is it was extremely difficult to get started, or even find the beginning. It appears they tried to make this easy after I managed to get it, but it could be better. I would definitely get this again, however.
Three ibuprofens and hour later, still struggling to figure out how to release beginning of tape roll so I could start using it. There was no tab to pull on end of tape to get it started. There were no directions on package, either. Finally put roll under bright light and examined. There is an INVISABLE perforation that needs to be broken and tape then released. There was no way to know this on the package.
