[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I try not to need disposable plates often, but when I do, it's nice to have an eco friendly compostable option. These plates were great in that they were sturdy feeling, didn't bend under the weight of food, and held up with liquids (despite what other reviews said). I deliberately soaked a test plate in water while I ate a meal, and while it got wet, didn't bend or break through. Overall pretty happy with these.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wanted something to avoid doing dishes for a large family week long gathering to an island but also didn't want to feel guilty about creating a ton of trash on the island. These were great. More expensive than paper plates, but nicer looking than all but very best of the designer looking disposable. Much studier than plastic or paper. Held heat without burning your hand like a cardboard, paper, or plastic plate would. Never got soggy even with sauce soaked pasta or taco night. Will definitely buy again.

We have cookouts every weekend and peoples plates are always folding over and although the dogs enjoy the food we hate the waste!!! There wasn't a single broken or folded plate at our last cookout! I have never tried compostable paper plates and to be honest, I was not expecting the sturdiness and quality to be that good. Was I ever wrong? These plates do everything and more the other heavy-duty plates do and the fact they are eco-friendly is a plus!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hefty Eco Plate is durable and strong. This 10-inch paper plate can hold a good amount of food. I normally throw a lot of backyard parties and these plates are perfect for my gatherings. They are 1/8 of an inch thick and hold up to heavy foods like chicken and steak without collapsing. I like that they are soak resistant. They seem to hold my sauces and salads in place and this helps to keep the wetness from running into my other foods. These plates are sturdy, they do allow food or wetness to leak through the plates. I also like that they are molded plates. The ridge helps to keep my food on my plate. I feel good about using them since they are constructed from plant-based materials and are 100% compostable in industrial facilities. When my family needs to re-heat their food, they are also microwavable, which is a huge plus. They stay firm and strong while reheating. The best part is no dirty dishes to clean up when we are done eating!
