I saw the mayo while grocery shopping & bought one to try. I made tuna fish salad for my husband using the mayo (instead of the olive oil mayo we used to use) & he never noticed. He thought the salad was great! He is not a man who normally enjoys low fat anything, so that sold me for sure!
After adjusting our diet, the Low Fat Hellmann's is just the one for us. It works so well with recipes and tastes so good on everything. Thanks for creating a low fat version for us. Just what our doctor ordered!
I would like to thank Hellmans for having a low fat mayo for those of us that are not able to eat the fats and for also having a product that was good. My family and I have been having a hard time finding a mayo that is low in fat and calories, so when we found Hellmans Lowfat, we were excited. We have medical conditions in the family and this product was a blessing to find. We have cooked and made salads with this product and very much enjoyed it. We are sad that we can no longer find the product. This product had a great texture, was not runny, and had a great taste. This product was also very low in calories which was another great thing! If at all possible, please bring this product back! Thank you!
This product is getting almost impossible to find and is far superior nutritionally to what is on the grocery store shelf. I was thrilled to be able to get it from Jet.com!
I have been trying to find an acceptable low-reduced fat mayo for years and have likely sampled most of them that have been available at one time or another. I found this version at only one store, and in my opinion, do not understand why more in my are are not carrying it. It is hands-down the best low-fat mayo I have ever tasted!!! It has apparently been available much longer than our local stores have stocked it. For me, this is close enough to the light variety, but with just about a third of the calories. I use quite a bit of mayo and over the course of a week those extra fat calories add up substantially. In fact, I like it so much that I bought the last four jars the store that carries it had on the shelf because I was afraid it might no longer be available. I am really very impressed with this version of Hellmann's .
I just posted my comments on Hellmann's Low Fat and Light Mayonnaise on Hellmann's Facebook page. It is my favorite number 1 mayonnaise. I use it in tuna salad, pasta salad, egg white salad and any recipe that calls for mayonnaise.
I absolutely love this Low-Fat Hellmann's, it's much healthier than the lite Hellmann's, however, it is absolutely a nightmare to find. Please make this more prominent in stores and keep it where consumers can find it. Are you discontinuing this? I've noticed that the store shelves tend to have more places for the lite Hellmann's but I prefer the low-fat much more. So much healthier and there isn't a better mayonnaise in the world besides Hellmann's!
Hi there, was hoping for a great alternative to full fat one but although i never do this throw the half used pot out. Did not like the texture at all. Taste is similar but felt strange. I was out for lunch and mentioned this and my friend said she had done exactly the same - both of us throw it out before end of use and both never done it before. I promised her i would leave review - again not something i do normally. But i hate waste so... hence this review. Hope you find a way to make a low cal version in the future ... as i do like the full version. And that is what i will be buying again - just not use as much will do the same for the diet, but without the strange texture and waste.
I use this mayonnaise because I have to eat a lowfat diet. I find it to be tasteless. The fat free mayo that was originally on the market had more taste than this. Yes, low fat can have flavor but this doesn't. I have to add mustard to it in order to let my taste buds know that I am eating mayo. I am disappointed with this product.
I love Hellmans, but the low fat dressing is on the sweet side and didn't hold up in my favorite blue cheese salad dressing recipe. Within a day it turned very runny I had to throw it out. I would recommend Hellmans, but not the low-fat variety
