This is a great painting project for young ones. They het a sense of accomplishment after completing this project while having a lot of fun doing it. This didn't take long and paint dries quickly ... cute shapes. The included paint is enough to complete the project ... don't expect much left over but you should not run out.
The wooden flowers from Hello Hobby are consistent in their shape, without any errors in their shape or texture. I love that the edges were smooth. I've had pre-cut designs before that were rough and they can cause splinters, which when you're crafting with kids can completely ruin the mood. These didn't cause any issues & were perfect for little hands. I think that they held the paint well, and my kids enjoyed painting them a lot!
These are blank, wooden, die-cut butterfly shapes by Hello Hobby. This cut-out is of decent quality, the product is not flimsy, has no ragged edges, sturdy with a smooth finish. One side does have a product sticker that comes off super easy with no residue left behind. No sanding required, yay! Onto the fun! I drew an outline of what I wanted to paint on the butterfly shape in pencil. This time I made my lines darker, I drew shapes and detail before painting. Once again I used Hello Hobby acrylic paint strips to paint. I started painting the largest part of the butterfly first in pink, using a dry brush technique so the paint was sheerer to let the detail show through. Light-handed touch here and the rest of my details went along the same way. Once all the paint was dry I lightly went over some of the detail in pencil again to make it pop. Quite happy with my finished result. Super easy, lots of fun & totally relaxing, and I have a lovely, colorful butterfly to add to my collection. The butterfly sits up along the ledge of my bookshelf with some other shapes and is a great addition to my spring/summer collection. Yes, I'd recommend it.
I like the blank slate nature of this unicorn. My son didn’t have to stay in the lines and could paint it how he wanted. The wood is semi-thick but not very breakable. The color applied evenly and dried well. Overall, it was fun! We liked doing this on a rainy day and so I would recommend it to others.
This little unicorn goes perfect with my infants nursery theme. I haven’t figured out what I’m doing with it yet, thinking I’m going to make a picture board for her wall and add this to it. Maybe paint it a solid color. I may have to go buy some more! Nice little project!
These are blank, wooden, die-cut flower shapes by Hello Hobby. The flower has a smooth finish, all you need to do is remove the product sticker from the back which was super easy as it comes off without any residue left behind. The seven petal wood flower shape is of decent quality. The product is sturdy, not flimsy by any means. It has no jagged edges, very smooth, and requires no sanding which is a yay for me as I can take it out of the package and go right to work. Let the floral adventure begin!!! Here again, my preference, I drew an outline of what I wanted to paint on the flower in pencil. I went pretty light on my lines because I wanted to use them as a guide and fill in detail with paint instead of pencils. Chose a background color of yellow and went from there. Not too heavy on the paint but more than sheer. Had some fun with the brush, wiping tip-off and on to bring it back to a point when I wanted more precision. Acrylic paint strips used are also by Hello Hobby. Once the main part of the flower has been painted I went on to do a bit of color mixing to give a bit of variation which lends a little depth to the flower center and petals. Went a little wild with dots hee hee, but that was enjoyable brought me back to seventh-grade art class (always fun, we were encouraged to let our creativity flow even if we weren't creating masterpieces lol). Super easy, lots of fun & totally relaxing, definitely a nice afternoon of imaginativeness. Added this pretty flower to my collection over my bookcase. Fits in perfectly with the other seasonal decorations I have up. Yes, I'd recommend it.
These wooden rainbows are a perfect for beginning paint projects with younger kids! The guided shape is great for helping them create a easy craft that they are proud of. The edges are nice and smooth, so we didn't have any issue with splinters, and they are nicely rounded and safe for little hands. I think the paints adhered nicely to the wood, and my kids crafts turned out fantastic, I could be happier!
These rainbows are perfect! Not super small or super big. I used the remote as a size reference. They give enough space for some detail work. They are also thick. Not flimsy thin like I see in a lot of wood art supplies. Adults and kids can use these without fear of breaking them because they don’t bend.
Nothing bad to say about this. It's a sime unicorn head shape that's easy to paint. A little imagination can go a long way since there are no defining lines or anything on it. Not sure how often I'd buy this but I may get more for a unicorn birthday party soon
I received the Hello Happy Hobby Wooden Unicorn Shape Ready to Decorate Die - Cut Shape 3.2×0.15×4. The shapes are cute and look just like the photo. My daughter and I used to paint one solid color and added to glitter and I adhered it to a memo board in her room. If you was wanting them to actually draw a face on just keep in mind the deminssons because they are rather small. Overall for the project that I used them for it worked out great and they are adorable.
