These pants are better than the cats pajamas. I could wear them all the time unless it's warm out!!! They have a lot of stretch for comfort and the fleece inside is not baggy. The ankles in the pants are a little baggy but I'm assuming if I was wearing hiking boots with them they would be perfect.
They really look good on. My wife who was skeptical at first really likes the way they look on me. So do I. Temp here has been in the 30's I wear the First Ascent pants and don't need long johns! The look really cool with the Eddie Bauer Cirrus Lite jacket. Lots of compliments.
These pants are great for the northern climate I live in. I live on an island in the upper peninsula of Michigan where winter starts early. These pants are very warm due to the comfortable lining and accommodate my active duties like wood spliting, fishing, hiking, and clearing lots of snow. The only problem I encounterd was getting to close to the hot door of my fireplace insert which caused the fabric to melt were it touched the door.
I purchased these pants in black for my husband and they look great! They are very comfortable to wear at home, on walks/hikes, or just anywhere. The fleece lining keeps you warm but does not overheat. After reading some reviews that the pants ran a bit small I ordered one size up, and it is a perfect fit.
I really like these pants. Of first importance is that they are quite warm (as they should be.) Unlike most other lined pants I have owned, they don't have "elephant" legs. They really have an active profile just like the regular Guide Pro pants that I own. That's what makes these outstanding.
Great fit! Form fitting, yet comfortable range of motion with stretch. Light weight yet warm into sub-zero temperatures. Wind and moisture resistant. Even with the stretch, the pants retain their shape through the day. Really appreciate the 7 belt loops; Helps keep the pants in place through activity. Great for hiking and leisure in cold weather. My favorite lined pants!
I'm not much into synthetic fabrics / clothing - fleece and such, BUT I decided to give Eddie Bauer Lined Guide Pants a try this winter - WOW!! Warm, comfortable, and easy to wash n' wear, though ironing is a bit problematic. My legs were thanking me on cold icy days and nights. The pants goes well with causal shoe and with classic sneakers; with down jackets, cashmere sweaters, dress shirts - ANYTHING you might throw at it. Give it try! As a side note - I got the 38, which was a bit too large for me. I wear a 34/36, but I love to loose waist and legs.
Perfect for those who have to work outside in the winter, or for winter hikes. Bought one pair and loved them so much, I bought another. True to size. Wash well. Wet high quality materials and stitching Lots of flexibility when moving. Highly recommend
I love these pants. I've purchased several pair of the unlined Guide Pro pants but these are the fist lined ones. They are like wearing your favorite sweat pants and wind pants at the same time :) The only complaint is the sizing. Whatever size you typically wear you should order the next longest length. They come shorter than the unlined pants. Also, I wish they would put the logo in a less obvious place.
Great cold weather pants. Exterior brushes off snow and light rain but if it's raining your going to want lighter pants. If active, worth noting, perspiration will soak anything in the cargo pockets. Thighs are cut large enough for athletic legs. If you've tried the guide shorts they are similar. I've had the zippers fail on my guide shorts so curious to see how these hold out. Very happy with them so far.
