I happened to notice sugar free chocolate chips before Christmas and was very pleased with the cookies I used them in. So much so that I was disappointed they were not in the store after Christmas. I searched many Wal-marts for about 6 weeks and gave up and ordered online. Of course I would prefer not to have to pay postage and handling to have them shipped, by buying them in the store, but that was not an option, as Wal-marts doesn't consistently carry these in-store. So, I buy many bags at a time and freeze them. It does not harm the taste. Hopefully, next time I need them for baking, they will be available in-store.
I don't understand why we have to order these online. They need to be on the shelves with so many doing no carb diets and the diabetic population expanding. They taste great, melt just like regular chocolate chips and the price, even though more than regular chips is compatible with other specialty items.
Delicious tasting sugar free chocolate chips, you cant tell the difference compared to regular ones. Perfect to indulge in baking your favorite recipes. This is the second time I have purchased them.
I went sugar free 3 years ago, the benefits have been well worth it, but sometimes I want a little chocolate to dip my fresh strawberries in, Hershey's sugar free baking chips to the rescue. I just melt a few baking chips and dip my berries in it, delicious and sugar free.
I like to cook low carb and sugar-free chocolate chips are super expensive online! None of our local grocery stores stocked sugar-free chocolate chips - even during the Christmas holidays. I ordered 3 bags of them and had them shipped to my Wal Mart store. I got them within a few days.
Hershey's doesn't disappoint at all! Combine Spenda brown sugar with the Splenda sugar blend and baking never tasted so good to the diabetic! Add in these Hershey's sugar-free chocolate chips and you'll be the hero with your delicious chocolate chip coookies! Yum-O!!! I had a hard time finding them in the store and the website came through. They are so good, I bought six bags and froze them. (Do be careful about the amount of consupmption - while as delicious as they are, too many can catch up with you and cause an uneasy GI tract)
These come in a smaller package than the regular chips and also cost more. I had to use 1-1/2 packages to make cookies. I used Splenda brown sugar and Splenda for baking, which gave the cookies a much different texture. But they were good tasting, and basically sugar free. Good for a diabetic like me..
I love these sugar free chocolate chips, I ordered them for my daughter who can't get them where she lives. I had them delivered to her, one came in a package by itself, it was broken open. The rest came in a box, where most were melted together. She will now have to use something to break them into pieces, for what I paid you would think the shipping would be better.
To be clear, I love these chocolate chips. I am not impressed with whoever prepared this package for shipment!!! As a diabetic, I am unable to use regular chips and WM no longer carries these in the stores near where I live and so I was thrilled to see that they carry them online. I ordered 6 bags and received them in a timely manner. However, I was very disappointed to see that they were just thrown in the box with the other items I ordered. I live in TX, where it's HOT in the summer and so you can imagine what they looked like upon arrival... I'm not sure who is in charge of quality control in the warehouse, but it would be great if someone with some common sense could check over the shipping procedures! I order sugar free chocolate from Russell Stover and it always arrives in great condition because the have a warm weather system. I will order this product again, but will wait until it's cooler so that I don't end up with blobs of chocolate instead of the chocolate chips like I intended.
I was excited to try some “healthy” chocolate chip. I didn't notice anything weird with them when opening the bag. In fact, they smell just like regular chocolate chips. Upon eating, they were fine at first. No weird texture. But holy cow, there's actually a bitter and chemical-like after taste. I waited a few minutes and had a couple more and it was even worse. The taste literally made me scrunch up my nose and I spit out the second few I tried. Shame I wasted my money on these. I don't understand how they have decent reviews
