I currently have 6 strands plugged in together. Heavy duty drop cord plugged into a GFI outlet and they work wonderfully. Only complaint I had is that I had to go to 4 different walmarts to get enough lights each store only had 2 boxes of the red and green. I guess I don't have to worry about anyone else's house looking like mine!
According to the package (we discovered this AFTER stringing these together all over our house), you can only string 2 stands together before maxing out the wattage. Not practical for a home that required 11 boxes to cover the house.
