This product is a very good product and is surprisingly well designed. Pros: Simple assembly directions, good design for water well, works incredibly fast and well, appears to have good safety features - i.e. well insulated and dry tank safety switch. Cons: No tips on how to use steamer effectively, rollers do not have a brake, extension cord is not very long.
The best steamer I have used. It heats up very quickly and saves a lot of time in preparing dress clothes for work. Can't believe I didn't have to pay more for it.
For a basic steamer, this is great. Its not top of the line but it has saved me so much time and money. I hate to iron and I hate ruining my clothes with an iron. This thing is great if you are in a hurry. If you are like me and can't decide what to wear, I can steam at least three outfits in 5 minutes and then decide. Plus it refreshes your clothes. Only thing, don't hang too many articles on the steamer because it will tip over. I wish the hose & the hanger rod was longer.
This product is awesome. My favorite thing about this product is that it has the stand all build in and it heats up and is ready to use so fast. The only thing I don't like about it is that it rolls around alot and there are no brakes on the wheels to help prevent this. Other than that this is a must have. Irons are a thing from the past.
I LOVE it! The only complaint I have is that it almost tips over every time I am using it when I hang anything on the hook! As long as I know this I put my foot on it while I am steaming and it works great.
I purchased the 1st one 8 months ago and the auto shut off would trip within 10 minutes of turning it on. Occasionally it would let me steam for 15 or 20 min. but that was rare. Finally the reset button stopped working because it had been used so much. That's when I returned it for a replacement. I do not have the shut off problems with this one. I really like the steamer more than an iron it has worked great on everything from silk to denim. It is lightweight and starts to tip over when the water is almost gone. I wish the pole was a little higher.
I am sooo disappointed with this product. The auto shut off turns off before I have a chance to gather my clothes and steam them. When you press the turn back on button (red button) it only stays on long enough to do one sleeve before it "auto shuts off" again. This is truly annoying and the water tank is sooo small that you don't get much done with it. The pole is super flimsy and not very durable. I would not recommend this product at all. Unfortunately, I thought the auto shut off would prevent me from leaving it on by accident but it turned out to be more of a pain the neck than it was worth.
I steamed one shirt (very difficult to do, because there was no resistance and the shirt kept being pushed away by the steamer).... when I tried to do a second shirt, there was no steam!... I turned it off, added more water and started again, but nothing happened. so I hit the reset button and steam started to come out but stopped almost immediately. So glad I saved the receipt, because it is going back tomorrow...
I can't give much of a review on the use of this steamer because I never got a chance to use it. Putting it together was easy, but as soon as I put water in the tank and attached it to the steamer, water poured out all over the floor. The water came out a vent on the bottom of the unit. The water tank emptied within 10 seconds. I emailed Homedics from a link on their website and I never received a response. I also tried calling their customer service dept and the hold time was so long I never was able to speak to a real person. Essentially a horrible experience with this product.
product did not work, steam started and then nothing. was very excited when i received the product, but will return and try another steamer.
