I have several fountains as I love the sound of water - most of them you cannot really HEAR the water - this one is a unique design and you can hear the water and watch it moving over the rocks not a simple trickle. I've had many comments on how soothing my office is.
Nice fountain although I though it would have been a bit sturdier. I love the sound but it would be nice if there was a diming switch on the lights. It very pretty and quiet (motor). Reminds me of a stream in the mountains. Excellent value for the price!
This is by far the coolest tabletop fountain that I've ever seen! And I've purchased and seen a lot. I was first drawn to the unique geometric design. That is so different than anything else out on the market. But the greatest part is the look of a small river (middle section) before it cascades into a pool below. Also the water sound is fabulous, and is very soothing. As has been said in other reviews, it does not spray water outside of the fountain. Which is another very unique feature of the tabletop fountains.
I've had the HoMedics illuminated River Bend fountain for around 2 weeks in my office and thus far I've been pleased. It has a much better waterfall sound than the other indoor fountain that I owned several years ago. Doesn't splash outside of the fountain at all, which is nice, although if you fill it too high with water it will be OK while operating but will leak after you shut it off. For that reason I would recommend putting it on some sort of absorbent surface. The pump doesn't make any kind of unpleasant grinding noise, as pumps on some fountains can do. Some users have commented that the fountain doesn't come with enough rocks, but mine had plenty. The fountain is made of rather cheap-looking plastic, but it doesn't look too bad when fully assembled. For the price, it's quite good overall. Again, I've only had it for 2 weeks so I can't speak to its durability.
It's worth every penny. It's not expensive. It got to me fast. It gives the room a contemporary or modern look all by itself. Its customizable: you can change its shape a little and you can change the water flow speed. The lights are at just the right brightness and the running water is at just the right noise level. Seems durable but only time will tell.
The fountain works quite nicely and doesn't seem to splash much water outside unit. On the downside, the LED lights are bright enough to be visible from outer space (I covered mine with black electrical tape), and the material used looks exactly like what it is: plastic. The upper lip of each level is roughly 2 mm thick, so it doesn't exactly pass off as faux stone very easily. The fountain does create a nice ambiance, though, so i think it was probably worth the money.
I haven't had it long enough to vouch for durability, but it's a nice little toy... smaller than I thought it would be, but still nifty.
Nice product. Very soothing, and calming. It wasn't hard to put together, but I think it needs a few more rocks. It also doesn't seem to lose water the way some other fountains I've had in the past do. I also like the light feature. It makes a really pretty night light.
I wanted a cute, small fountain, and when I saw this I thought it would work. But everyday, I would wake up with puddles of water all over the table that it was sitting on because water drips from the sides, and then water splashes everywhere from it took. Although it does look cute and somewhat modern, it's made of horrible plastic. I don't recommend this unless you want to clean up water spills everyday...but my cat seems to like drinking from it on the plus side.
Not the best material, but for the price I wasn't expecting the best (just hoping :-). Bought this for my friend, set it up at his house. Water has to be filled all the way to top in order for you not to hear the motor. The 'illuminating lights are VERY annoying'. For a relaxation fountain, I would expect the lights to be more subtle. 3 bright LED lights are all you can see at night, very annoying. Both my friend and I were disappointed. Now it just sits there, with no water in it. Nice design.
