the ceiling time display is great, the nature sounds provide a pleasant way to drift off, the nap feature is handy, the alarm beep is not jarring and the sound quality is decent for a unit of this size. quite happy with this purchase.
It plays my ipod with decent sound, I can set a nap timer, alarm, and a timer to turn sounds off with no problems. It's a bit bright, but you can turn the wall light portion if it bothers you. I think the clock was a great find and I enjoy all of its features. It's very easy to use.
My husband and I have really enjoyed our new clock. His favorite feature is the Ipod dock, because he loves to wake up to his own music. I really enjoy the projector, since I can't see the actual clock from where I sleep. I was surprised by how much light the unit gives off during the night. We covered up one of the little LEDs to cut down the brightness while we try to sleep.
Very happy with this product, it had all the features I wanted to use, is well made and stylish. Only slight drawback is that you can't choose days of the week for your two alarm sets. My previous alarm clock you could set for M-F, M-Su, or S&Su, which was nice.
This is a pretty decent clock radio. The sound of the radio is almost too bass-y and there are no controls to adjust the treble or bass. LOVE the nature sounds - go to sleep to the 'brook' sound frequently. The clock projection isn't as great as I'd hoped it would be, but it is pretty cool to see the time on the ceiling in the middle of the night. :) I paid $74.96 for this and I'm not so sure that was a totally great price, but overall it's a decent clock radio.
Ordered this for my wife who is visually impaired so she can listen to her audio books. Thought the projector display would help her see the clock. Opened it up and plugged it in but projector never worked. We have never used it, not sure if I would recommend it.
I bought this clock for my daughter for Christmas and we were initially thrilled with it. But in the last six weeks it has repeatedly lost the time, it goes to 1:00 and takes 3-4 times of unplugging and resetting to get back to the correct time. Then you set the alarm and it may or may not be correct by morning. Therefor it has been unreliable for the alarm system and she needs it for school. She wants to just throw it away but I feel I wasted money. I would not recommend this product.
This product does not work with the 4th generation ipod nano.Unless i overlooked it when purchasing product it did not disclaim that it wouldnt work with my ipod. I returned it to the store and purchase one that was compatible with 4th generation nano.
For the price I paid I was expecting alot more. I had it one day and Im taking it back !! I have a 3G ipod nano and NONE of the inserts fit this ipod. (it says it has one for the nano but its the little skinny nano not the 3G wider one) I ended up just taking the inserts out and placing my ipod free standing The front LCD is NOT readable at night, only if you are at eye level, which its on my nightstand and wasnt eye level. The only time I could see the time is thru the projector on the ceiling. Also at night the blue LCD screen is way too bright (it lights up my whole room with a blue glow) and kept me up all night, I ended up getting a piece of cardboard in the middle of the night and putting it in front of the screen so I could sleep. The dimmer doesnt really dim at all (its very minor and still too bright) The projector is not visable during the day which it should for the price paid. And at night it was OK. If you have bad vision at all this clock is a bad idea. I have decent vision only wear glasses to see really far away, but I had to get right infront of the clock to see the time during the day (at night you can tell only at eye level because its blinding) if you have bad vision good luck seeing the projector night or day. The plug in weighs about 2lbs and is huge and clunky. The speakers were also was not good, sounded like there was too much bass (drowning sound) but there is not option to change the sound quality. My old alarm clock sounded better (only cost $15). This clock does not come with the remote (you have to read the fine print) I did like nature sounds it has (doubt I would use them though) and setting the time was easy. But for an ipod clock this was a major disappointment on all other issues. The company could have built a better clock or at least tested it with the public first. Im suprised this has higher ratings, IT SHOULDN"T THIS CLOCK IS NOT WORTH IT !!
This product was purchased Dec 2007 for my daughter for christmas. She loved this radio. The coolest thing to her was the fact that she could see the time on the wall or ceiling while laying in bed. All of the excitement soon ended. Her Ipod stop playing and also the clock wouldn't give the correct time. I will set it then a few hours later it it would be off by a couple hours. That was terrible being that she used it to wake her up in the mornings. The idea is great but I am not sure the product is able to handle all of the features at one time.
