I had been looking for an antique vanity for my guest room. When I saw this one, it was just what I had been looking for. My husband assembled it in about 2 1/2 hours - lots of pieces - but it went together flawlessly. Couldn't be happier! Solid piece of furniture - very sturdy. Can go wrong with this purchase.
I am very pleased with the vanity. It is made very well and has great storage as well as the countertop for make-up, mirrors, perfume, etc. There are a lot of pieces and I am not handy, but my husband is. It took him about two hours to put the vanity together. I was not sure if I wanted the bench but I ordered it because it matched the vanity. I am not pleased with the bench. I am 5'2"" and it sits too low for me. Also there is no back, which I knew when I purchased it, for support. I am giving the bench to my husband to place next to his chair in our FR. I would highly recommend the vanity but not so keen on the bench.
I have to admit I've never put a peice of furniture together. My husband was out of town so I took on the challenge. It took me over three hours but I was finally able to get it all together (not bad for a beginner). It did turn out nice, but there were many episodes of frustration. I had to restart some of the peices several times because I had them backwards. There are many holes and screws to line up. The directions were fairly good but you need to pay close attention in order to keep the parts from going on backwards or upside down. The main thing I want you to know is that it doesn't come with A STOOL. I happen to overlook that part and didn't realize it until the whole thing was together and I went to try it out. Overall, I'm happy with it. It looks nice, is sturdy and matches my other furniture. Hope this helps.
I'm in love with the vanity. It is a solid wood piece aside from the two bottoms of the side drawers. One of my bottom pieces of the doors did have a crack in it, but I haven't requested a replacement part because I didn't want to wait for the piece before putting it together. The vanity itself is beautiful and good quality.
before purchase, checked and reviewed similar kinds including prices. upon receiving this table, unboxed and start assembling. found it easy but has very strong structure. 110% satisfied and willing to recommend it to my neighbors.
