These dessert bowls are perfect size for fruit servings, dessert, or ice cream! Color is exactly as advertised. Even though the inside is red and not black, they still look great with the rest of the red dishes they were bought with.
Bought these small bowls to use with my black & white dinnerware set. They can be used for fruit, small salads, even desserts. I have served ice cream in them. They are perfect.
I bought these bowls to go with the Hometrends Rave 16-piece Square Dinnerware set, in red. Perfect match. I like the size. I like the shape. It's said to be dishwasher- and microwave-safe, but I don't plan to put it in the microwave.
I love these little bowls! :) I have them in red, yellow and the mosaic green! I wish they came in sets of 4 instead of 6 (Especially because you end up paying more! $2.50 by the each, if you can find them in the store, or $20.00 for 6? Anyway we use them for salads. I bought the Mosaic dish sets too and they are absolutely beautiful!! I am so excited about my new kitchen! Thanks Walmart!! :)
My first order got lost but I immediately ordered again and they were delivered to the store in a few days. I have the Rave Red dishes and they are perfect for all occasions. I can sell my Christmas dishes and can set a beautiful table with these. Christmas, Valentine and Patriotic days all use red. I really love the shape and the size. The stickers are hard to remove but I scraped them with a sharp blade and scrubbed them with cleanser. It was worth it. If you got the dishes, get a couple of sets of these.
I bought these to match the "Rave 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Stripe". The color and pattern are almost identical and match fairly well. The shape is a little odd with the set, but it works. As for the color and pattern: the bottom starts a transition from dark brown with irregular turquoise dots - from a normal distance, it has a rich dark green hue - to a light brown rim. As the pattern goes from bottom to top, the irregular turquoise dots become less frequent and the base pigment goes from dark brown to light brown. The pattern also changes on the outer and inner curves. Overall, they look earthy, but refined. Very stylish for the price. FYI, there are minor imperfections like a small pin sized white bump or very small smooth dents. The imperfections are barely noticeable. But for the price, their excellent quality.
These bowls are great, they are the perfect small size for a snack or for dipping sauces etc. I'm really happy with them except they came with this clear round label on the side of each bowl that says "Hand Crafted" and the labels were so difficult to remove. After soaking them in hot water for an hour I was able to remove the labels but the adhesive remained after scrubbing with soap and water and 2 cycles through the dishwaser. I finally bought a hard scrub brush and spent a full 5 minutes scrubbing each bowl to remove the adhesive. I'm still not sure i got it all. I'm hoping with time the rest will come off.
The picture on Walmart.com gives a different expectation of the item. In the picture, the interior of the bowls looks a lot darker then it is. We bought this product because we thought it will match our other dinnerware but it really doesn't. Secondly similar bowls at Walmart stores are cheaper even if you don't buy them in a pack. The only thing is that Walmart stores that I have been to don't carry bowls in this color. Other than that the product itself looks pretty good. The bowls are nice and look to be good quality items. I just hope Walmart changes pictures on the website and provides a few different views with larger images. This could help in future.
I've owned and used the Hometrend Mosaics pattern dinnerware for everyday purposes for a few months now and I love it. I find it durable and nice looking and I love the functionality of the square design. While purchasing the add-on platters and serving bowls I found this set of dessert-sized dishes and I hesitated to buy them except for the fact that I needed a dessert size dish to use with this set. At $20 for six bowls I figured I couldn't go too wrong, even if I ended up hating them. Their size is perfect and their shape works well with the Mosaic set, but the color is a bit different. They do fairly well match the green color chip you'll find on the edge of the dishes and they are green throughout... some parts are shaded a bit darker, but the color is consistently green. I would not have chosen this color for this set, but to me it was a far better choice than the bright yellow set that's offered as an alternative. Honestly, the green in this set looks like a better match for another all-green dinnerware set offered by Hometrends. While the color isn't one that I'm overly fond of, the shape and size of the bowl is excellent and I do use them regularly. If you can get around the color issue, these bowls do make an excellent addition to the set.
These bowls are rectangular, and while the color is the green in some of the tile, they really don't stand out in the plates, it would have been much better to have made the inside of the bowl to match the color of the bowls that come with the dinnerware set. Not a good match with the dinnerware set color or shape. Possibly the yellow would match better, but would not have looked as well with my kitchen.
