I really like this item. My house gets super hot and this cools it down at least 10 degrees pretty quickly. It is easy to add water and I like the ice option. That helps a lot during the hottest time of day. This is an evaporative cooler, not an air conditioner, so don't expect it to get cold. It really helps cool things down though. I recommend it.
Bought this cooler to help with cooling off a bedroom upstairs. It's a great product at a great price.
Super easy to use, right out of the box. Fill with water, set in front of an open window, plug it in and turn it on. Controls are easy to understand, has a remote control and it rolls around fairly easily on carpet. Noise level is no more than any a/c window unit. The unit is a bit large, but it works well - it's cooling an upstairs bedroom that's fairly large. It's not an a/c, so it won't super cool a hot room, but it will noticeably make a room much more comfortable during these hot months coming up. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase!
I did relatively extensive research before making this purchase so understood its capabilities and limitations. As a result, we are very pleased with this product. Living in Denver CO, it can get hot and dry in the Summer. Despite the fact that we have whole home air conditioning, we prefer to have our the windows open and enjoy the fresh air. This cooler allows us to do so until the outside temperature exceeds approximately 95 .. at which point, the AC is nice to have. The cooler is a bit noisy; but, after the first couple of days of use, we got used to the noise and don't notice it now. Positives: - The portability. Mid afternoon on warmer days we roll it into the family room to keep things cool. And then, at night, we roll it into the bedroom. - The ice tray. We do not use it most of the time, but on warmer days, by throwing a couple hands full of ice cubes into the tray, the unit responds nicely with cooler air.
Item arrived quickly with no damage. Cooler works great. It is easy to move, as it has wheels. Nice looking unit. I like the ability to put ice cubes in an area, to make it colder.
I like the cooler has helped keep my house cooler than without it. The only problem is the support you get is poor. My water level indicator does not work because there is a whole in the float. I have addressed this but got no or negative response.
I am going to return this item. It is to loud, to big and a lot of work if you are using it in an upstairs room. I bought this for my upstairs bedroom. to fill it with water takes a lot of trips up and down the stairs, takes a lot of ice to keep cool air going and the drain plug is on the bottom which if very inconvenient.
Received with broken knobs. Could not adjust water flow. Bulky. If you add ice to help cool, it does cool some but be prepared to add more ice every 20ish minutes and keep lots of ice in freezer. For not much more you can purchase a air conditioner that is not a window unit but inside unit that vents easily at the window. Even ones that mostly evaporate without having to drain unit and mostly hassle free. I returned this thing and purchased 2 Haier units for 2 separate rooms and I'm now cool and happy.
This is basically a fan blowing air over water. It does add a little humidity but doesn not cool much more than a fan, even with ice added.
Too much humidity from machine. This item would be good in a desert enviroment with low humidity. I am returning this unit for a window air conditioner.
