[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time trying the chunky version of my favorite Hormel No Bean Chili. It was so satisfying to get the meat in large chunks and into my stomach that it seemed I was fuller faster. Delicious as always!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the big chunks of meat in the chili. It helped make my meal heartier and more filling with this colder weather. I used the chili on top of a plate of fried potato wedges and added cheese, onions and sour cream. It was so good! It still had the familiar hormel chili flavor but with nice chunks of meat.
This will sound comical but I actually purchase this chunky style chili to use as a base for homemade chili which I like with the chunky pieces in! This actually saves me money by allowing me to use this instead of going to my butcher for a special cut of meat to extend my chili base..........UMMMM/GOOD!!!!!
I don't know what it is about the taste but it's different then other Hormel chiis and really really good
I love this brand. Hormel is one of the best brands when it comes to chili. This particular one I prefer to use it on my hotdogs insteads of normal hotdog chili.
i like this chili,,chunky ,, good amount of meat in it.i eat it by the bowl,,also very good over great value nacho cheese chips with hormel nacho cheese sauce too!.quick easy fix for game day or watching nascar.thanks hormel and walmart for great products,,price and shipping.
Let me preface this by saying that I love the Hormel Chili (No beans). I really like the first few servings when there are bigger chunks of meat. So, when I saw Chunky Beef (No beans), it was a no-brainer. I threw some hot dogs on the boil and opened the can. I poured it in a dish to warm up and something didn't look right. It had peppers and onions and what looked like chunks of tomatoes in it. I looked at the ingredients on the can. Not only does it contain the above items, it also contains textured vegetable protein. Really??? What a bummer! I thought I was buying a chunkier version of the regular chili with no beans. The taste is not even close to what I was anticipating. I just can't believe that you took meat away from a "Chunky Beef" chili and substituted textured vegetable protein. If I wanted that, I would have bought the "Vegetarian" chili. Please get rid of the fake stuff and if you are making a "Chunky beef", make it with just beef and get rid of the other added ingredients. Either that, or change the name to let consumers know that it's not just chunkier beef chili. Maybe call it "Hearty Chunky" chili. Something that would make the buyer look at the ingredients first. This one was just all wrong.
I did not like this at all. It was watery with a bitter taste. I am very disappointed because I love the Hormel chicken chile. Not true for this! It had very little substance! A total waste of money!
