"Hormel Compleats" Rice & Chicken a complete food, enjoy pieces of chicken, rice, carrots and peas with savory sauce. Waoo 180 calories per service. I really like Hormels Compleats chicken and rice. I like the simple container . I like the container because it the perfect size for my lunch bag. Compleats are great for lunch. With this HORMEL COMPLEATS Rice & Chicken, I feel like it is a little salty for me but it is perfect when I added few spoons of white rice in it. I think the chicken meat should be sliced a little bit bigger same as the one in the packaging. Overall taste was great and I can't complain the amount of time to prepare which is just 60 seconds. A perfect solution when you got no time to cook and perfect serving size. I would definitely add this to list when I do grocery shopping. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
great in a bind, you could season to bring out the flavor
The flavor is OK, but you'll need a magnifying glass to find any chicken. It was mostly just mushy rice.
Great flavor. The picture is not what you get. It is all rice with a few tiny pieces of carrots and chicken if you look really hard. I'm not a big fan of microwave meals, the ones that I tried before were frozen meals from other brands some ones good and others not so good. I was not aware of Hormel Compleats so compare to others I don't see so much difference. The Hormel Compleats Rice & Chicken is not good, the rice is hard and I like soft rice, for me it taste uncooked. The flavour doesn't taste real. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This was more like SOUP than a meal. I found 4 - 1/4" cubes of chicken, 6 yellow spec's assumed to be carrots and 4 green specks that could have been peas. The contents could not be consumed using a fork, but rather had to use a spoon as the consistency was more the category of fine made soup. I could have spent another 14 cents and purchased a complete frozen meal that could eaten with a fork.
It looked absolutely nothing like the picture. There was not one discernable piece of chicken in it. It looked like mush (see picture). The smell was horrible and after one bite I threw it straight in the garbage. And if you knew me, you would know I hate to waste food and almost never do. I also can and have eaten just about everything there is.
Well, to be honest, it went in the trash... I tried to eat it, but it was just a glob of mushy rice with a few "specks" of chicken, carrot, and peas..like two or 3 very tiny pieces of each... I just couldn't eat it. I bought two, so I will be returning one!
