I was very excited to get this for my son, who turned 18 this week. He has yet to get his driver's license, and after realizing that you have to use your mind in order to drive this vehicle properly, I thought it was a great idea for him to get confidence. You really do have to free your mind and just think what you want to do. And then you do it. It goes forwards. backwards, turns around. He downloaded the app but has yet to connect it and try the speakers. It's a nice ride.
Admittedly, I don't have the hang of riding it yet. For that, one really does need a spotter. I've watched several videos on how to learn to ride. I do recommend following the instructions and using protective gear for head, knees, and hands. This hoverboard is one of the very nicest looking ones I've seen, it's just gorgeous! I'm going to tape the wheel covers, as one kid in a video did, to keep them from getting scratched. The speaker was really easy to set up and sounds great! The app will let you track your mileage and speed. While I don't have experience with other hoverboards, this one seems especially wonderful. Oh, do remember to frequently recalibrate the board. This is something that one must do with all hoverboards. It's easy to do and will keep the board operating properly. Do clean the wheels off before bringing it inside. I forgot to do that and brought sand into the house.
I was surprised how big the hoverboard is, it looks really sturdy and stylish. The gold pink is beautiful. The battery is safe and reliable, easy to charge. It also has a safety shield for the battery. It is water resistant so keep the hoverboard clean. The led lights are beautiful, super cool to ride it in the night. The problem is i am not good at balancing. So it will take me a while to know how to control it. I believe i will have a lot of fun as soon as I start to ride it. It said the battery last 4 hours. That is more than enough for me.
We decided to try Hover 1 Titan after having already purchased hover 6 inch wheels. Wow what a huge difference in comparison. This model feels solid right out the box with a beautiful rose gold shining. 10 inch wheels is so much better than 6 inch wheels. Foot pedals are very responsive so be careful first time getting on. While foot pedals are activated it comes with 2 neon lights in front & 2 also on the back. Bluetooth connection is very quick and loud enough to enjoy outdoors. Charging port on this model is located under board with light indicator when empty /full. It really moves quicker than I thought. My wife and I are gonna to pickup 2 different colors to join the fun.
I'm only an "adult" insofar as I'm old enough to make my own decisions. Beyond that, I'm a child at heart. So of course, I had to have the toy every kid wants right now - and I love it. This is a really fun product. I'll start with the negative. Out of the box, mine was losing some of the paint. Seems like it just didn't adhere in that area, but it's not spreading and the other paint has mostly survived plenty of scrapes, so I'm willing to write it off as a defective unit. I also hear the rattle of a loose screw or piece of plastic inside, but it doesn't affect performance. I tried to contact Hover-1, but without a receipt, I couldn't do anything there, so I can't speak to the effectiveness of their team. I would have pursued this further if I'd bought it as a gift, but these issues don't bother me personally, so I dropped it. In the design and operation, the only complaints I have are that the wheels will be really hard to re-inflate when they go flat due to the valve stem position (pictured), and that the power button is inconveniently placed. I'd like that button to be accessible to my foot, so I don't have to bend over to activate the unit. The speaker also only provides mono sound, but that's a safety precaution that I agree with (it reserves the second audio channel for alerts). Outside of that, I love the overall design. On to the positive. This is quiet, powerful, and intuitive. The motors are almost completely inaudible, even at top speed. They switch from forward to reverse completely seamlessly. Acceleration and deceleration are very quick. The turn radius is zero. This thing zips around the house with ease. In fact, after about 5 minutes of practice, I took it to the kitchen and made dinner while riding. I don't recommend handling knives and hot pans while using it, but I can aver that it's doable. Top speed is listed at 7mph, but I got mine up to 9mph on a level straightaway in my street before it started beeping to warn me of excessive speed. Outdoor and indoor riding are different experiences. It takes more practice to handle outdoor riding due to the unevenness of the riding surface, and it feels slower outside due to the greater distance between visual cues. Keep in mind you'll need to avoid bumps larger than about an inch, and it won't handle inclines greater than 15 degrees. So if you plan to use it outside, take a good look around and analyze where you'll be riding. For me, that means some sidewalk sections are impassable, and the street ends up being my riding surface. That's fine as an adult, but if you're buying this for a kid, you need to account for how safe and aware that child is. Also note the built-in Bluetooth speaker can make it very difficult to hear approaching traffic, which can be very dangerous. Even though it's a toy, this is also a motorized vehicle, and there is no shortage of hazards associated with that. Safety should ALWAYS be the priority here, and that needs to extend beyond the device itself and to the surroundings. Traffic is deadly, even on slow, low-volume roads or sidewalks (yes, sidewalks - driveways are dangerous crossings). Consider the users and the environment. Another consideration is the learning curve. It took me about 20 seconds to feel comfortable enough to make it around the living room. Within 5 minutes I was moving confidently through the whole house. I'd estimate another 2-3 minutes before I was comfortable on the sidewalk. But I went in with confidence in my balance and no real fear of falling, which are critical to the system. The board reacts to subtle movements, and if you react back, it will respond. It will take longer to learn if you're hesitant. My wife leans heavily on me when she uses it, and she's too nervous to learn to use it solo. My nieces (9 and 12) got it quickly, but my nephew (16) wiped out as soon as he stepped on and wouldn't try again. Once you're balanced (this is the key), it's remarkably easy to control. You're almost better NOT to think about the board, it just kind of goes where you want when you're working it properly. If you're buying it for someone who has never used one before, I highly recommend finding a place to test one out first. Some people will get it, some people may not. With all of that said, it is an extremely fun toy for those that learn to use it. It's recommended for ages 15+, though it definitely will work for younger kids WITH APPROPRIATE SUPERVISION. Even as an adult, I really enjoy it. I use it every day, both outside and inside (I make my own rules now, Mom). If you're a kid at heart, or buying for an actual kid, it's an excellent device.
I wasn't sure this would really be as cool as it sounded from what I've read, but it really is quite fun. Especially, when trying to learn to use it, which doesn't take too long. The biggest wheels in this Hoover are quite remarkable and really allow for it to hold and balance any weight. So for an adult that is tall, it's still able to handle quite well. The additional LED lights make for one fun night ride, as they are quite bright and really add a fun amount of color when all else is dark. I do like that I can ride this off the smooth road and onto some rocky and less evenly paved street. Plus, with the motor, it doesn't run out of power so easily or slow down. I've not yet traveled an extreme amount of miles, but I've played around with it for a bit and possibly went 3 miles without it slowing down or needing to be recharged. Again the wheels being large makes it so much better to know I'll be traveling and not falling off or getting into some type of accident. It's the fear that it won't hold me cause of height and if unbalanced by weight. however, the wheels make it much more possible and reassure me. Additionally, they do have other safeguards and items, which I might have to purchase. Lastly, I'd like to say that this is something even a kid or an adult can enjoy. I would really consider getting my sister one to race with me down the road. She prob loves one as she can't stop wanting to play with mine.
This hover board is amazing! It has large wheels and can carry a weight limit of up to 265lbs. It has large wheels which allows it to be ridden even in grass. It rides so smoothly and is easy to operate. It is a shiny royal blue color. My grand kids love the Bluetooth feature that allows them to listen to their favorite music while riding. It is easy to operate. Even my 7 year old granddaughter rode it easily. I would definitely recommend this product. The charger comes with it. There's no assembly. You simply take it out of the box and plug in the charger cable. I'm about 3 hours, it's charged and ready to go. The charge lasts for about 1-1/2 hours of riding fun!
It was very well packed and included great tips and directions. The first thing I did was charge it. I was surprised that it only took a few hours. I paired easily with my iphone and I immediately tried the blue tooth speaker. The sound was surprisingly good. The app was also easy to download and I love the real time GPS tracking and trip recording. It has 3 learning levels which makes it easier when you have never ridden one before. It easily turns and spins. We took the cat for a ride and she loved it too!!
This is a great product the hoverboard is made really well and sturdy it is heavy but it rides well and you take it out the box make sure you charge it fully and it's good to go follow the instructions and you learn pretty easily it's a great hoverboard it rides well the battery lasts a good while and looks great the speakers sound great and connects really well my son loves it would definitely recommend
I love this thing! I got the rose gold color and I am obsessed. Very impressive looking. It look expensive and it is very well made. I could not wait to try it out and when it was fully charged I was even more impressed by how well it works. I am a first timer and would not be happier having used this for the first time. There was no assembly required just plug and let it charge. It also gives you instructions in the event that it need to be realigned. It was very easy to sync to my phone via bluetooth and I got to playing my tunes immediately. It also came very well packaged. The charge lasts for a reasonable time and it also charges quiet quickly for the amount of usage. The tires are very big and fortified so it seems to be able to traverse a lot of different terrains. I have only used it on sidewalks thou. All in all, I definitely recommend, very happy with this product.
