Good middle of the road laptop. Very generous RAM and HD for the money. My only problem is I'm more of a Win 7 guy but you're stuck with Win 8 but it doesn't take too long to learn how to bypass all the apps and tiles that I don't think most people would use on a regular basis. I like just opening up to the desktop and going from there. That's not what Win8 does for you, but like I said, most user friendly user folks won't take long to learn how to get straight to the normal desktop.
it is a great value for the money and a great product by HP. I have a DV6 and for last 3 yrs & still it is great. So far this G6 also a good purchase for the money
I love HP products over-all. This is my first PC for myself and I'm enjoying this. With this product, one do have to careful with the scrolled bar because its very sensitive. I'm satisfied. Thanks Wal-Mart.
HP Pavilion g6-2217 clLaptop Computer is great for travel. It is compact and easy to carry. It has been a valuable tool for professional staff development courses. The laptop computer has been an asset in completing work related projects when I have been out of the office.
Computer was everything detailed in online purchase description. Cost was best I found for similar device. Shipping was incredibly fast. Will definitely shop Sam's Online again.
I use this computer for college and it works great for what I use it for.

I am the type of person that likes a quick computer and so I was picky about which one I wanted. I chose this one because of the quad core processor and large amount of ram. In my opinion I'd say it's fairly fast. Using dsl and a good router, web pages change fast on this, videos don't lag, and it doesn't freeze up. I mostly just use this for school, but I am a light gamer, video watcher, and music listener. I also like the graphics, and the construction of the laptop is good quality. It doesn't have that cheap plastic feeling like a Compaq Presario. The 3.0 usb ports sync mp3 players faster. The laptop runs cool and the fan is really quiet. Windows 8 is a bit of an adjustment, but you get used to it. Overall, this one's a keeper for me!
Way to complicated to figure out how everything works for someone not technically savvy. Wouldn't recommend this product for someone who's looking for something simple. Bought this laptop in addition to our home computer for our teenagers. They hate it and don't want to use it. It hardly gets any use since I've received it.
I love Walmart but this is my first and last time purchasing a laptop from them. I had trouble getting Windows to install and I tried connected two different wireless printers to this laptop and neither would work. I was informed by both printer companies, Canon and HP, that there was a software problem with the computer. They said it would be at least $170 to fix and that was after I said the first figure was toi high! I guess in this case I really got what I paid for. All I can say at this point is use your own judgement.
