Much better than the plastic sprayers I used in the past. Will see how many years it will last.
I have used the B+G spray cans as a professional, and although they are great for everyday use, you will not have to spend the 250.00 or more on one of those if you buy one of these cans from wal-mart. The stainless steel can is a little lightweight, which some people would consider a plus, but I'm used to the heavier cans, so the light weight seems "cheap" to me. But, it isn't a cheap plastic, so the durability is nice. The pump to pressurize the can was a little bit tricky to pump and fasten without accidentaly releasing the pressure. It tends to stick in place, so make sure you're careful when you fasten or unfasten it to prevent de-pressurizing it and possibly spraying pesticide or chemicals on you. Of course, you're wearing eye protection and gloves though, aren't you? The only thing that I'd like to see added to this can would be a air pressure gauge, to help tell how much pressure is in the can. I suppose if that's a feature I really want, I could drill and tap a threaded hole in the steel to take an air pressure dial, but I'm happy with what I've got. I haven't tried to adjust the nozzle, but the spray comes out a nice coarse, even spray, which will work for most of your applications, such as baseboards and the outside of your house, so I'm not going to worry about it until I have to do crack and crevice treatments. Overall, great value for the money, and you will get lots of use out of it! Andy.
This is just what I ordered, It sprays just fine, I have used it five times(5gals) the only thing I wish it had is the gal mark inside where you would not have to measure your water.
IT WORKS WELL GOOD PRESSURE.
The pump body is not stainless. I am spraying tall evergreens and wish it sprayed a higher distance.
The picture of this sprayer shows that it has the brass valve, but on arrival, it does NOT. It has the plastic valve which are much inferior to the brass Hudson valve system. Item returned, not as advertised
Hudson is supposed to be a quality brand sprayer. Get what you pay for, right? Not with this product. Every thing about it I found to be complete garbage. The pump handle itself snapped in half the very first time that I tried to pressurize it. They show the sprayer handle being of brass when in actuality it is made of plastic. And not only is it made of plastic, it is the worst construction of a plastic handle that I myself have ever seen. Spray wand felt cheep, wouldn't stop spraying, inconsistent spray pattern and was the worst constructed spray wand that I have ever came across. All the plastic that they use is brittle. They should have stayed with brass because the plastic they chose to go with, obviously to save the company money, is junk. Won't make the mistake of dealing with this brand again.
