Drone is rechargeable and battery lasts longer than others I've tried. Remote picks up to 150ft and easy to use. This thing actually does all that it describes. Fun for young and old. It's like a remote control skateboard and drone in one. Fast and drives/flies with ease. Was afraid to try it on water at first but of course the hubby went for it. Not just on water, in water. This thing flew down into the pool, went under, and flew back out without damage or losing speed!! Now the whole family is fighting over it so I guess I need to get more lol. Keeps the kids and adults occupied for hours.
With these kinds of toys I am always worried that they will be too complicated to control and end up collecting dust, this one is just the opposite and is very easy to control. Not only is it easy to control but it is tough and built to last. As you can imagine anything that flies high in the air needs to be durable, no matter how hard it hit against the ground it didn't even have a scratch and was fully operable. The battery is fully protected while in use and you remove it to charge. It charges quickly and has a long play time between charges.
This is a great gift for older kids. My nephew loved it. He loves all the features and also loves that it has multi uses. The air, ground, and water. It's very durable and keeps kids occupied with the different options.
This drone is dope because it can be in water or in the air. It's fast and easy to operate outdoors. We tested it indoors and outdoors, indoors is funny because it can glide under furniture. We also tested it out on the lake to see how well the drone glides on water and it's so freaking neat! We once lost a drone over the Pacific and man it would have been nice to have had one like this, at that time.. My only complaint if any is there's no built in camera and as far as I can tell, there's no way to attach one. The bright colors make it easier to spot too.
I received HydraQuad - 3-in-1 Hybrid Stunt Drone - Fly, Drive and Dive for Ages 14+. This is a smaller drone with very bright and vice colors. It also is very durable and the wings on it are like a rubber. Solid but bendable to take a good hit without breaking. This does come with extra pieces for the propellers. Which is a plus because a lot of the time something happens and they break. This flys very nicely inside and outside. Has different stunts you can use. I tried the water option in my bathroom in the tub as it is winter where I live. None the less the water dive option is very cool! My son is 14 and this is a cool toy for him. He does enjoy playing with it. However the battery does not run long it is a rechargeable battery which is nice but it seems like we have to charge it more than we can actually play with it. We do love it though. I think if it had a longer battery it would be my sons favorite toy. I do love seeing my sons face light up when he is playing with it. It is a better drone for the stunts and techniques it can do. But not battery length wise. Maybe to use it while you have other drones.
If you have pets that shed. It picks up there hair and stopes the propellers. Works great outside. But had the same problem flying it out of the pool. It did work as a sub for a while. My dogs swim in the pool. So pet hair. I did give it a 4,because I think it will work in the lake we are going to next week.
battery only lasts 5 to 10 minutes tops and you have to re charge it again. fun design and concept but battery life sucks.
It's ok. It's not the easiest to control, and we've had issues of it running on it's own after landing. The battery also pops out easily when in use. It may be that this is something we haven't tried before, and we're still learning to operate. We have not had the opportunity to use in water yet, but that does seem like a cool option for the warmer months.
I am not sure quite what to think about this drone. If you look in the pictures you can see that all the electronics are exposed and you were supposed to be able to use it from water to air. Also it flips over a lot and so then you have to walk over and pick it up to turn it right side up. It does have a lot of power and would really need to be used in a large open space.With some work I think that you would be able to navigate it very well but I am concerned with it being in water in the electronics on the bottom being exposed so that is why I gave it a three.
The description says 14 and up and I would definitely say this is true. My 13 year old has a hard time with it. It just is hard to control and takes a lot of practice. He also wishes the battery lasted a lot longer. It runs out of power fairly quickly. But it is a fun starter drone.
