I grew up on this sugar in my household in Louisiana, so I have been using it practically all my life! It's the best sugar around. I move to Houston, when Imperial sugar was still being made, in what is known as Sugalrland, Tx, now! I am hooked for life!
It was opened when I got it
I was disappointed when i received my 10 lb bag of sugar. The bad was bursting open. It was in a damaged box. I feel like thwy should put fragile on thr box or something to make the UPS drivers handle the packages better.
When my husband opened the box after it was delivered the sugar was opened and spilled in the box. Maybe it needed to be packed more securely because the boxes are thrown around. My husband said he heard FedEx throw or dropped the box very hard.
Sugar was opened and spilled all over in the box.
Have ordered this product before; no problem. This time ALL four bags came in plastic secondary bags as the tops of the paper bags WERE NOT SEALED SHUT AND THERE WAS SUGAR LEAKING OUT ALL OVER. THE SECONDARY BAGS HAD HOLES ALSO!!! Why in the world would you send a food product that was not properly sealed?? There was no sealing agent on the top of the bag; it was just gaping open, I'm sure the health dept. would ask the same question. I order a lot of sugar for the 40 Hummingbirds that we feed year round. I have to use this sugar as we are out and you can not just stop feeding them, they will die. If it was for human consumption , you would be getting it back.!!! I'm socked Walmart would allow this kind of product out the door!!
This item was not in my order. However, there was sugar powder all over the items that were delivered. Again, they were not delivered to my door but were left by the gate on the road 600 ft from the house where anyone could pick them up. Luckily we returned home before this happened this time. Where is my sugar???
The order was left at the wrong address, same street, but wrong house. I have large numbers in front of my home showing the address, and yet, it was delivered to the house at a different address. I found it only be recognizing a neighbors front door. By the way the photo taken will not load or copy.
This product never has arrived without damage!!! Don't order unless you are going to pick it up yourself. FedEx has always been the transport provider and they can't deliver this item without damaging it!!! Other sugar companies use plastic bags around each 10lb sugar bag and I don't lose product that way. This sugar company needs to get smart! Also, WalMart needs to warn it's customers about this problem because I know they are contacted by FedEx that the product is damaged.
