I bought this for my 7 year old son and he loves it. He loved that the start patterns were all over his room and not just on the ceiling.

This product is pretty cool i got it for my son. He really thought it was neat the way it shows all the contilation, and how it changes with the seasons and months.

I gave this to my nephew. You have to have it held about a foot from the ceiling to even read what the stars are, which is a neat trick. It's fun for the kids to learn and see their face light up with excitment, but it's a cheap toy and you get what you pay for. I'd opt for something better.

I bought this for my 4 year old son that is really into the stars. I thought this would be awesome. I thought the stars would be lite up on the walls. The globe thing that has a light in the middle has specs which are the "stars" so when its lite up the stars are the black spots on the walls. The light is pretty weak and its really hard to read the info by the star patterns. You can read them it you actually take the globe and hold it up higher to the ceiling. I just thought it would have been better. Its put away in the closet and I dont think it will be used that much, if even at all. Im going to buy a better one. Perhaps one that atually projects lights on the walls so it is actually like the stars are in the room.

just fyi, if you expect the whole room to be illuminated with stars from this product, you will be very disappointed. We found that the globe had to be less than two feet from a white surface to be able to visualize any of the stars/constellations.

This product was cheaply made and didn't really work correctly. The stars and planets just looked like specs on the ceiling and walls. Would have been a better product of the globe was dark and the lights shines through the planets and stars.

It's just black dots on the ceiling and you can't even read the words because they are blurry. My daughter threw it in her closet after playing with it once.

Not Worth The Money

Unbearably poor projection unit, spreading light with black dots for the stars and constellations. Built cheap and designed the same. "Meteor" pointer never worked out of the box. Embarassed to give it to a 14 month old baby much less a child expressing interest in astronomy.

HUGE Disappointment

Can we just not give it any stars at all? First of all, the meteor maker accessory that came with it didn't even work. Secondly, the sphere light doesn't stay on very long and then you can't turn it on for hours....now the thing won't turn on at all. I contacted the company who is of no help at all. They won't even offer an exchange...waste of money! Definitely wouldn't recommend it.
