Best Play Gym On The Market!

We absolutely love this play gym! I purchased this for my son when he was 5 weeks old because he was not interested in the swing or bouncer but clearly need mental stimulation. I choose this particular gym for a few reasons. (1) The black and white patterns on the mat aid in baby eye development. (2) Blue is used minimally which I like because blue is one of the last photoreceptors to develop so blue items do very little to help the baby's eye or mental development. (3) It had a few good reviews from other moms with pleased babies. (4) The toys require the baby to interact so there is less passive play and more active engagement. This mat has only one electronic piece the piano but even then the toy requires that the baby kick or touch the keys to make noise or change the song. The piano plays three songs and with each song the keys light up in a pattern. Two of the songs are more soothing and great for nap and the other is very bright and up beat. The sound quality is better than most music devices that come with other baby products. (5) It came with a tummy support pillow. It's not the best pillow that I have seen but it works. (6) Lots variety. The mat comes with toys that crinkle, jingle, and ring, are easy to grab, soft and come in a mixture of contrasting colors. (7) It has a mirror that the baby looks up to see himself in. (8) The mat grows with the baby and is two sided for different options. There is even a crinkle spot on one side of the mat. This mat has been everything I expected and more! It is my son's favorite toy. Over the past 8 weeks this toy has helped him develop motor skills, hand-eye coordination, stimulated him mentally, engaged him, and much more. I can actually get about half an hours worth of house work done before he starts to fuss for me. This mat also offers me and my husband plenty of ways to interact with our son and play! I have scrubbed it down with a hot soap washcloth several times and it cleans up great. No spit-up stains yet! The construction is excellent and is very durable. In addition the mat is soft and my son is comfortable laying on it, but I don't worry about it being too plush for safety. Overall, I give this mat an A+.

This item is both practical and fun and a good value. It engages my grandbaby at 2 months. I call it her "playground". I chose this item because of the 2-sided mat that has black and white coloring on one side and multiple bright colors on the other, the piano for sound and mulitple toys for her to reach and grab. I was afraid I would be disappointed with her response to it, but I was not. It keeps her attention both when she's on her back and for tummy time. I also loved the fact that I could buy a Walmart gift card, use it to purchase this item online, and never have to enter any credit card information.
