The Ingenuity Swing ‘n Go Portable Baby Swing (Hugs and Hoots design) is a great portable swing for little ones up to 20 lbs. The only drawback is that it really is a swing that is specifically for that weight because it will not swing if it has a little one any heavier than that, which I have come across a lot of reviews also stating the same. It has so many advantages to this swing that outweigh the one disadvantage. From getting it out of the box, it thankfully comes with every thing you need besides the 4 D-cell batteries and a Philips head screwdriver. Now while the D batteries can be bulky and a little expensive, this particular swing is supposed to have “Hyberdrive Technology” which is said to provide longer swinging time. I have not had this very long, but I also have not had a problem with the battery going dead on me. To continue on with the battery use, the speed seems pretty consistent and I have not had a problem with it keeping speed. It has 5 swings speeds and 3 timer choices to go by, and most have complained about the timer (30, 45, or 60 minutes), but if you just do not choose a timer, you can turn the timer off and let it go. The speeds are shown by lighting up and it blinks as it gets up to speed when you choose to go more. With that aspect, this is a very quiet swing as well. With 8 melodies and 3 nature sounds, you are sure to find something to please your little one and keep them entertained. The assembly time takes about ten minutes to do by myself, as most of it clicked into place. The two screws held the swing more securely onto the frame. This may be a smaller, more compact swing, but it is so convenient that it really makes it worth the buy. You can simply push the lever and it folds up into a nice size that you can carry where ever you need. I have found that it fits really nicely in my closet, without taking up much space at all! The fabric is so soft and is so cute with the “hugs and hoots” design, doting the elephant and owl on the removable toy bar for baby's entertainment. This is gender neutral colors so it could go for any infant! It also has a detachable head support as they get older or in case you need to remove it for cleaning in the wash, as it and the seat cover can be washed in the washing machine on cold gentle cycle! What more could a mom on the go ask for?! It also has a five-point harness that ensures the safety of your baby while they enjoy the gentle swinging motion. I highly recommend to anyone, as the back and forth motion can give you a few moments of time while your baby can feel almost as cozy as when they are in your arms.
This is a great universal swing for either boy or girl. Nice neutral volors. There are 5 settings and vibration. Sits low to the ground but is very sturdy. Animals hang on the front cir babies enjoyment. Easily collapsable for either easy storage or to take on a trip. Only takes about 5 minutes to set up.
I got this swing for my niece as I babysit her throughout the week. What I like most is that it is super easy to fold up, with just a quick click, and folds small enough to keep in a closet for the days she isn't here. It's very cute, soft and functional as well. I just have to watch my two year old with her because he pulls it backwards and in doing so could flip it far enough back that she could fall out. Always use the straps! It does also take a lot of D batteries. I haven't seen how quickly they are used up yet. I could see this being a great option for bringing to friends or relatives houses for a baby as well. It's very portable.
This is such a cute baby swing and super easy to assemble. The owner's manual is easy to understand and helpful. In one page it labels every part numerically. You will need a screwdriver and 4 D/LR20 batteries to get up and going. The swing has many options. You can select a timer to swing for 30, 45, or 60 minutes. This swing will also indicate when the batteries are running low by turning the battery light red. You can select one of the five speed setting. It all depends how fast or slow your baby likes most. There is one button that controls the volume level. Another button is to play nature sounds or music. I like that it will automatically shut off after 20 minutes. Finally, the power button. I especially love how easy and hassle free it is to remove the seat cover and put back in order to wash it. Especially when babies have accidents and it requires to remove the seat cover to clean it up. The material is soft and cozy. Perfect for babies to take naps in. I appreciate how the buckles are covered and protected by the cushion. The colors are perfect for a boy or a girl. It has shades of grey, aqua blue, lime green, and a touch of orange. The design is supper cute. The seat also comes with a removable cushioned pillow. Last but not least, it is portable. Meaning it can easily be folded and carried to take with you anywhere. With the push of a button the handle folds up and closes in half. For all these reasons, I highly recommend this product and brand.
Exactly what I needed. My daughter loves it and I can get some dishes done. Box did come a little roughed up, but everything inside was alright.
We purchased this for our 3 1/2 month old great granddaughter! Unfortunately, she lives in another state so we haven't had the opportunity to see her in action with the swing except thru Zoom! All reports from mother and g/mother are very good! Safety of the swing appears to be excellent, which was by far the most important thing we were looking for! Watching her swing from long distance is a blessing and makes us even more proud of her and her new swing! Thank you Ingenuity for keeping our g/grand happy and safe!
I picked up the swing for my niece who I watch a few days a week. It was very easy to put together.It looks super adorable and is very soft. It swings smoothly and the noises are soothing. I especially like how easy it is to fold and store so that I could put it away when she's not here. This would be a great option if you go from place to place with your little one.
The hanging toys are facing away instead towards you so that's weird. I would've returned but husband threw the box away.
I'm happy I got this. Easy to put together just take your time. The manual is attached to the back of the seat. I spent five minutes looking for mine and then found it.. you will need an AC adapter to plug the swing in with a USB port and you will also need a Phillips head screwdriver. Again assembly with simple just take your time.. when I got the product it was a little beat up but I needed it right away so inspect yours first. Because I think my seat is a little lopsided . I'm having a hard time folding it so I can store it away as advertised. Aside from that no complaints
The item received damaged and some stuff is not there like the wire and other stuff as well, but I give it 2 stars because I like the product and the color I Return it to the store, I asked if I can replace it but it is only available online so I went target and get one ... :/ I believe the wing has been returned before and the company/ store did not check the stuff inside so they just resell the swing without checking...
