This is my second Insinkerator hot/cold dispenser that I have installed along with the matching filter. I've had the first one for over 10 years and it has worked flawlessly the whole time. This system is easy to install, delivers good water flow, and filter changing is a snap. I much prefer this system with the Insinkerator filter over the reverse osmosis systems with their multiple filters and giant pressure tank, and the fact that they aren't able to deliver hot filtered water, unless you pair one of those with the Insinkerator hot/cold system.
Our previous instant hot(another product entirely) had more plastic parts which dissolved over a short period of time. You could get parts but you were changing them every year. Our new in-sink-erator Instant Hot WORKS GREAT
Good quality, product that provides the needs for both the Hot and Cold Filtered water needs. Quality feel to the handles and the lever action, confident that the product will last.
We love our new insinkerator. The functionality and appearance is great. Water is great to rinse dishes. Water temperature requires kids to not use it. This is perfect for steeping tea.
I have only used this product for 3 months but so far it has worked well. Instant hot water is a luxury convenience and I do enjoy having that option. Would definitely recommend
Arizona builders do not insulate hot water line and run them through concrete so hot water takes 5 minutes. We use our inSinkErator a lot for everything from making jello right from the tap to instant coffee. Using the small side of kitchen sink, we can get warm water to wash smaller load of dishes. Need longer copper line. Previous inSinkErators had about 4 more inches.
We have become spoiled and couldn't imagine living without this product. But we have had to replace the handle assembly 3 times soon after the warranty expired. They say there is no way to repair a leaky faucet so we have accepted that every 3 1/2 years we will have to pay about two thirds the cost of a new unit to replace the handles. Just the cost of enjoying this unit.
The device looks nice and works well. Fairly easy to install. The only downside is there is no locking mechanism to keep the water flowing. You have to keep your hand on the lever the whole time when filling up a pot.
This is he second one I have purchased. The water is now leaking from the faucet tip and shooting water upward. I cleaned the tip and changed the washer to no avail. It is ridiculous.
This product is for lazy people like me. The problem is the quality, my experience is that the unit only last 12-18 months. The company offers replacements at half price. But when you compare the cost of having instant hot water to waiting 60 seconds for the microwave. If money is not a problem I highly recommend this.
