I love my new purchase. I have thick hair and this system really gives all options of curls to body wave. I also have long hair and was happy to find 10 large clips and 5 small ones. I would recommend it to all my friends and family
I have been wanting this for my very fine hair. This was the best price I could find. This kit had the extra 5 clams with it. The learning curve was very short because I use pincurls to set my hair anyway. The curls are very soft and last a long time. I am very pleased with this purchase.
I love these clips! I wrap the hair sections around 2 fingers and secure with the clips. Put my makeup on and they are ready to come out. What a time saver and I love the curl!... or waves if I go looser.
Item arrived sooner than expected. Mine did not have any extra clips as the instructions indicated it would. Otherwise I would rate 5 stars. Takes a little practice. I have fine hair a little below ears. At first I thought it wouldn't take so long due to fine hair. I find hair retains curl much better by waiting 25 minutes for clips to entirely cool. Hair comes out full and curly. A friend gave me 3 extra small clips and this really helps.
If you twirl curls around your fingers and clip before you get in the shower, this is definitely for you. It is just that easy and with heat added, it lasts a lot longer. Practice with your curling and lay the curl on one side of the clip and close for accuracy in styling.
It is very easy to use, in 10 minuts you have ready a wonderful hair style. For short o long hair.
I was very excited to receive this item. It looked so easy to use...however, I have been struggling to get the hair into the clam shells everytime. The curls turn out nicely when I can finally manage to get the hair in the shells...however...the curls don't stay in my hair for long. Using my straightener to make curls is better because the curls actually last all day long. This item is frustrating to use...wish I had spent my money on some good old fashioned hot rollers.
I have tried all types of rollers and curling irons and sprays and gels and mousses on my hair over the years, and nothing (not even chemical perms unless done twice) can keep my hair curly for more than 20 minutes. This does a much better job! Curls held for 6 hours in the rain with a setting spray. Practice runs without the setting spray held for 3 hours. My hair is fine and thin so if I had more of the smaller shells I could probably get longer lasting curls but I have to use a lot of my hair in the large shells to keep them from falling out. Also getting the clamps on just so without tangling in the surrounding hair is not easy. I can't do this unless I have more than 2 hours to get ready because I have to start over on so many of the curls. I love the way the curls look now that I've had some practice and I really hope I get better at this so I can have more volume to my hair on a regular basis but after half a dozen uses, it's still not practical for daily use.
My daughter just had to have this top styler, but it is so hard to use it correctly. We have practiced LOTS with it and I just don't like how our curls look. A curling iron is much easier and turns out with prettier curls than this. Plus, we have to wait for some of the curls to cool down in order to take the clamshells out and then reheat them to finish one head of shoulder length hair.
I thought it would be easy to use. I just can't seem to get it right. I watched the video several times and I just can't get it right. Very unhappy.
