I needed to find a new connector when I bought a new TV and hooked cable to it (since the cable line went in to the same outlet on the TV ans the PS2). Not only is the picture clearer with this connector, the sound is much better. It is by far the best accessory I have ever purchased for a PS2.
Good quality cable - for $10 you can't go wrong. Transmits a great picture to my 50" HD plasma set. Good audio to my receiver. RCA ends have knurled plastic and make it easy to grab on and pull them out of tight connection points. Whole RCA end is appropriate color making it easy to see which end goes to each terminal. The two audio ends have a slightly longer lead and are bound together giving more reach to get those to a different spot on your receiver. Great cable for cheap price!
If your looking to make your PS2 clearer, then this cable is well wortht the $5. It made the viewing much clearer and now I'm able to read the small/medium print on games where before it was fuzzy. Much much less expensive then other stores tenfold.
This product is outstanding! I have a wide-screen HD LCD TV and this product made a big difference compared to the plain old coaxial cable. Clearer outlines of images, bold vivid colors and no blur. I recommend this product and am more than satisfied with it.
The only problems I have with this cable are related to the environment I'm using it in, rather than the quality of the picture (which is great). My TV has the video inputs fairly far from the audio inputs; I almost needed extensions to make the connections. The grips on the plugs are also slightly wider than standard, making it a little difficult to fit. Once it was hooked up, though, I haven't had any complaints, and the picture quality is amazing.
this iten is worth every penny. it is cheaper than anything you can find in store and works just as good.
This only half worked for my PS2. Apparently, PS one games run through the PS2 do not scale/translate correctly on all televisions. I have one that works fine on and one that only runs with PS2 games. This did not solve my issue as expected, but its not a fault of the product. Mine didn't come in any sort of box, not that it matters, but one was pictured, so I expected it.
I'm not a whiz when it comes to electronics so I bought the wrong product here. The problem was that Walmart didn't include any description of the product so all I saw was the picture and that it worked for PS2. This product is for component tv's (?) only. Not for my old fashioned one with only the three little holes. :) I returned it.
This cable made my tv fuzzy. It made every game and channel on cable and satelite look snowy and fuzzy. This item was returned. Not a good purchase.
I am a former home theater specialist for HH Gregg, so I know a little bit about electronics. I hooked up this cable and was INITIALLY impressed. As soon as I tried to play a DVD, the image became wierdly doubled, sort of like a 3-D effect. I switched back to game play and the trait followed. I reset the PS2 and it went back to normal for like 2 minutes, then it did the same thing. I have since read of similar experiences by others online. I am returning this and getting the Sony PS3 component cables. They are $14 more, but in my opinion they are MORE than worth it. I REALLY dont like Sony all that much, so I was hoping that a cheaper option would do. I would rather pay more once for a quality item, than have to return a bad item and waste time getting another.
