I wanted a turntable so I could play my collection of 45's and grade them. I didn't want anything expensive but I wanted to make sure that what I ended up with would be satisfactory for what I wanted it for. It exceeded my expectations. For such a small unit, it has great sound, is easy to use and I can take it anywhere. I'm listening to my records with just the little speaker. I haven't even tried recording anything, yet. I love it!
This turntable is very easy to use. I used the ez vinyl converter; the recordings sounded very good, considering that some of the records were 40+ years old. The sound from the turntable when used as a stand-alone unit (very convenient!) is decent but would probably sound better if hooked up to a stereo system. I love it!
This turntable works as advertised. The included software, EZ Converter, is easy to use and the Audacity software is a professional level digital sound recorder and editor. I'm very pleased.
This was a Christmas gift for my father, so I haven't had a chance to use it much. I was very pleased that it was shipped quickly, even before I was expecting it to arrive. I liked the easy installation and the initial software program is simple to use. I'm waiting until I have the time to look at the second software that came with the system for more creative conversion of the records. The turntable unit is pretty light for portability though I would use caution when moving it. It's not built for rough handling.
This turntable plays 33, 45, and 78 records and can be connected to your computer a number of ways: headphone/ lineout jacks and RCA jacks for connecting to the sound card, or USB. It also has a small speaker so you could use it as a standalone record player (although for this purpose you might want to connect it to a pair of powered computer/bookself speakers). I have other software for sound capture and conversion to MP3's, so I haven't tried the included software. In all, this unit is great for archiving my old vinyl collection and is at a great price too.
This product is simple. I purchased it because it allows me to connect usb to digitalize my LPs. It has a small speak built-in. My favorite part is that it has a cover/lid. I simply store it until I use it again. The cover makes it portable. Lastly, it can be operated with batteries. It serves all my purposes which is why I have rated it high. This is not for DJs.
Product was as described, instructions a bit vague, but easy to figure out. I was able to copy to disc one of my mothers old records and I think that it sounded great!
Easy to set up, but must download iTunes to work. Sounds better than expected, has additional plug ins for tape recorder or mixer. Appears not very durable.
I was excited to listen to some vinyl and I thought it would be nice to back it up digitally too. I'm not really an audiophile--I just like the experience of putting a needle on a record. This turntable sounds terrible, though. I can ignore a little buzzing, but this can't even keep a constant speed. At first I thought it might be that the record was in bad shape, but I tried a brand new LP and it still sounded bad. I didn't keep the receipt, so I ended up giving it to my 2 year old to play with.
Disgraceful product; ION does not stand behind it. Would not run on AC adapter which is underpowered. Incredibly cheap construction. Avoid at any cost!!!!
