Really cool item for family and kids. It is fun and easy. I wish one more level of brightness could be chosen so that I can use it in a big classroom that could not be completely darkened. No complain for family use.
Love this planetarium. Watching stars in the room is a cool and educational experience. By the way, this product is built solidly with metal except the transparent sky map, which is required to project the sky onto the ceiling.
Honestly, I don't know if I would have paid what they originally wanted for this, but its definitely worth the mark down price of $60. Its a xmas gift for our son who loves astronomy.
I got this unit for my kid. He brought it to school during a science class and every kid was amazed. A great decoration as well! Wish it could be operated using batteries as well.
Nice globe that projects stars to the ceiling. Very good educational tool. I wish the automatically shut off time can be adjusted; 15 min is a little too short.
My husband bought it but it arrived damaged with one lock screw broken. I called the manufacture's phone number in the package and received two lock screws and knobs by priority mail next day. The planetarium worked well then. Overall I like it.
This mini planetarium was a wow to me. Very easy to use even without reading the manual. Plenty of stars on the globe for kids (even for me) to learn from. It automatically shut off after maybe 10-20 min. Besides a planetarium, I found it's also a perfect night lamp.
The product itself was fine. It met all my expectations and functioned exactly as advertised. I do have an issue with Walmart packaging tho. When the package rattled as I picked it up outside my door following delivery, I knew something was broken inside. I was right, the knob on the right hand side had not survived the delivery process. I called the iOptron company and they promptly sent me another knob set to replace the broken knob which I installed and everything works great. However, I think if Walmart wants to sell this product they should package it for delivery rather than just slap a mailing label on the original box and sending it out for delivery.
This item looks good but is made of plastic. Constellations are projected around the room, but are distorted beyond belief. It moves very fast, or not at all for fifteen minutes, then shuts off. You or your child may enjoy the projections, but at this price, it's a very costly nightlight.
We bought this for my dad for Christmas and it arrived broken. So we returned it and got a new one and tried to use it. the light kept flickering and there is no way to change to bulb. Its very cheaply built for the amount of money paid. So we return it a second time.
